So i played a necron army for the first time today and some things didnt really seem right to me, One I was thinking that the lith had a 15 armor rating ( yes epic fail) and he was doing sum cheesy stuff . So with that said my question is can a monolith or a lord teleport across the field ? does it count as deepstriking and can they do anything else afterwards? ?

What does a lord need to roll in order to use his phlactory( i thik i spelled that rite) over and over again?

Can a 'lithe transport a unit thru its door and give the unit an extra WBB roll to revive the unit to full force ?

The flux arc , how many targets can it shoot at? how many shots per unit it shoots?

And what do you need to make on a wbb roll?

Im not larger than life , Im not taller than trees..

A monolith can Deep Strike when it arrives but can't just teleport across the field in the movement phase. It can teleport units that have the necron rule from up to 18" away (But to teleport a lord he HAS to be attached to a necron unit). A lord with the Veil Of Darkness can substitute normal movement for teleporting anywhere on the board and arriving "via the deep strike rules" but it is not ACTUALLY deep striking, but the restrictions are the same. So he (and an attached squad) can teleport, then shoot or run, no assaulting.

Phylactery - ALl this does is supplant the WBB roll for the lord to allow multiple wounds back on the WBB roll. 4=1 5=2 6=3
He can do this every time he rolls WBB, BUT if he rolls a 4 he CANNOT be teleported through the lith to regain extra wounds via another WBB roll in the same turn.

Question 3 - Yes. As long as they got one to begin with.

Flux arc shoots at EVERY UNIT within 12" and in LOS, it fires D6 shots per unit.

4+ to succeed WBB.

FYI, read the FAQ and ask to see the codex.

Just wanted to point out its d6 shots per unit. Not 1 d6 for each unit.

So its not on 5+ he stands back up again and again until he rolls a one?

What? No, not at all. There's no such rule anywhere that changes the roll required for WBB. It is always a 4+ for every model. The only things that change WBB is the res orb (takes away all the bypassing abilities and always allows WBB to be rolled, and the phylactery that allows the lord to possibly regain multiple wounds after rolling WBB.)

Well is there something im missing here? I heard that necrons are garbage in 5th ed but yet they have some crazy tickery goin on. Is it because of them having to tactically retreat if they go under 75%

People say they are garbage because

1. They can phase out
2. They can't spam vehicles or long range firepower as much as other shooty races
3. Their units are extremely overpriced for what they do
4. There are only 3 competitive builds for them on the tournament scene

That being said, for fun games with friends or at the local store, you can win with them quite easily if you play them right. Heck, you can even win some tournaments with them too if you are good enough. Most people hate playing them for the simple fact that they are unforgiving to play; that is, you can't make mistakes with them and expect to survive.

They aren't 'garbage'

They just aren't up to the same power level/flexibility as the newer codexes.

I run necrons and do ok, mainly because the tech-wizardry abilities almost balance out the downsides.

Think of the as I 2 marines with no vehicle support, no in-squad special weapons (melta, plasmas), no grenades (by and large anyway) and a crippling vulnerability to being swept in cc, then losing automatically if this happens too often..

On the upside the one tank they DO have is a nigh-impenetrable floating bunker with an ordinance weapon, and they have a fair chance of getting back up if you don't kill them thoroughly enough.

Minmax

They are a tough army to win with in these days of spamming transports and AP 3 or lower pieplates, but they're still viable, if a bit limited

The Viletide: Daemons of Nurgle/Deathguard: 7400 pts
Disclples of the Dragon - Ad Mech - about 2000 pts
GSC - about 2000 Pts
Rhulic Mercs - um...many...
Circle Oroboros - 300 Pts or so
Menoth - 300+ pts
