**The Crusader Of 42**

Hello, I currently have access to two complete armies, that are dirt cheap.
The first is a Tyranid swarm with 16 stealers, 40 gaunts, a carnifex, a tyrant, three zonratrobes and a who bunch of bitz.

The second is a lot of Necrons, including a monolith, a who bunch of paraihs and immoratals, the Night bringer and some wraiths and swarms.

The necrons can be bought for 200$ and the nidz for 150 dollars. I think necrons would be really fun to play, and thier getting a nice codex fairly soon. However
nids are competetive now, but have half their models missing.

Which one would you buy?

Go Nidz. They have a newer codex.

The Necron force is missing Necron Warriors, which you need. You'll probably have to buy another 4 boxes of Warriors on top of those Necrons.

Go crons there getting a new codex around August/ September so at least you'll be ready to start them then.

Oh damn, right... The Crons do come with some warroirs. forgot about that *facepalm.

The nidz do have a newer codex, but necrons are getting an upgrade, and if half the rumors are real, they will be insanly fun to play.

But nidz do have the codex now...

Nids aren't incredible at the moment anyway.

And the necron force is better value for money.

So go with that i would say

THey arn't incredible, and you dont soudn like a high end tournement player so for your level the actual difference between an armies base strength doesn't matter, at those levels it is much more the list and the player rather than the dex.

And id also say that if he has alot of bitz for tyranids, you can make tervigons really easily ( non dedicated model ) i say go nids!

THey arn't incredible, and you dont sound like a high end tournement player so for your level the actual difference between an armies base strength doesn't matter, at those levels it is much more the list and the player rather than the dex.

And sigh, i guess for the next month after the necron dex people like yoruself will be screaming OP OP OMGOSH I LOST TO IT , its sooo overpowered! they will just be updating the dex, add 2-3 models and change the WBB rule mostly to an army wide FNP as rumored quite alot.

And id also say that if he has alot of bitz for tyranids, you can make tervigons really easily ( non dedicated model ) i say go nids!
