Subject: Interceptor squad moving 54" in one turn

I don't see anywhere that says this would be illegal.. Point me out if I'm wrong.
A unit can move, embark, and if the vehicle they embarked on has yet to move during that turn then it can move as normal, correct?
So could a Interceptor Squad unit move 30" for shunt, and embark in a storm raven, and if it has not yet moved it could then move flat out 24", giving that unit a 54" move?
Edit:
For those checking this, it's been pointed out that you can't make a flat out move if a unit embarks it (pg 70), but you can still move 12", plus the 2 inches away you can be from it, thus giving you a 44" inch move.

I can't see anything saying you can't do this...though i'm not really sure why you'd want to, lol.

That sounds fine, ruleswise.

Check the rules for Fast Transports on page 70 of the rulebook. You can't embark if the vehicle is going to move Flat Out.
Which, in actual practice, would mean that if you embark, you can't go flat out with the vehicle.

Ah boo - need coffee
Still, the vehicle could move 12" to give you about 44" of movement.

Yes, as all that is required for you to move within 2" of an access point. Shunting is most definitely a move, as it tells you 3 times that it is....

Well, 44" could let you redeploy form one table half to another. I'll have to be wary of that as I haven't played the GKs yet.

Good point on the flat out, and the 2 inches to squeeze in there giving you 44". Super epic, could have totally used this in my last game if I had interceptors..
