If a character is in a unit with a magic banner that, for example, gives always strike first rule to all members in the unit, when he is issuing a challenge will he receives the bonus from the magic banner of the unit he is in?
For the exact example, is this character getting the ASF in the challenge? In the rulebook on the section of challenges it says nothing about it and i didnt find a thing on the faq.

Yes. He is still part of the unit - the clue is that the rules for challenges does not say they are no longer part of theunit.
