I've got a game coming up where I'm going to be up against units using feel no pain special rules, I know that I can beat this with ap1 and ap2 weapons, but I wastnt to sure where the rules are regarding poisoned rounds( hellfire rounds), as it seems to me if you are poisoned you are poisoned, and there is not a lot you can do about it.

Any advice would be appreciated

Poison simply changes the value on which you are wounded from a variable to a fixed value.

It has no other special inherent effect, and therefore does nothing in particular to FNP

Poison doesn't negate NP.

Feel No Pain cannot be used against (amongst what you mentioned) weapons that do not allow an armour save. Poisoned weapons do allow an armour save (unless of course their AP is high enough, but that's besides the point) so you are allowed to take a FNP against poisoned weapons.

Unless of course it IS Ap1 or 2.... which I don't think there are any examples of.

Thanks everyone, I didn't think it would stop fnp but you don't know if you don't ask

Well hold on now, there are some poisons which cause instant death like Urien's Ichor Gauntlet and poison from a Flesh Gauntlet - these poisons would not allow FnP, you would still get an armor save but if you fail it you're dead regardless.

"Poison", the USR, has nothing to do with FNP.

But that's only because they are instant death, nothing to do with the poisons.

Basically, Mike, poison doesn't change your list of excluded FnP attacks.
