the only glue that allows for easy seperation(without a solvent) is Plastic Cement.

all other glues are pretty strong and you risk breaking your models without solvent.

I've had good luck using Superclean on minis, it was able to strip the paint and loosened up the super glue and green stuff fairly well too. Don't know how well it would work on testors though.

never assume that what works in one case will work with another.

that way leads to melted plastic and burned clothing/skin.

Solvents that will eat that kind glue will also eat your model. Simple Green and Superclean will eat elmer's/white glue without hurting plastic.

If it's metal you can put it in something strong like paint thinner or turpintine and it will eat super/model glue. Put don't ever put your plasitcs in that stuff.

The best policy is to just use as little glue as it will take to hold your stuff together when you build it. That way if you need to undo it later there is a lot less bond to break and clean away.

Testors cement cannot be removed from plastic - it actually melts the plastic together due to the solvents involved. The best hope you have there is by physically separating the parts of the model (cutting, sawing, etc).

Superglue can be removed by soaking the model in a degreaser for a long time. Simple Green, LA's Awesome, etc. will work if you wait a few days. They don't remove the glue, but they will make it less sticky, and eventually you can just pull the parts apart without much trouble.

For metal models, remove the bases first and use acetone. It will dissolve pretty much any glue.

Wha?

I presume you meant Superglue there, instead of plastic glue (as you can remove superglue without a debonding agent. Freezing will allow the bond to be broken.).

Plastic cement is not a glue - IT is a solvent that welds the plastic together. ANY solvent capable of dissolving that bond, is by its nature, just going to turn the plastic to goo.
There is no such thing as a plastic glue debonder.

Physical separation with a knife is the usual way for plastic glued components.
