If you're going for Venom spam you've pretty much got that down.

Kabal of the Void Dominator - now with more purple!

Is there any room for improvement?

There's room for "improvement" but that sort of depends on what you think the list will be lacking in.

I personally think the Haemy is in somewhat of an awkward situation, as usually his liquifier will be wasted. Personally I'd also run it with a couple minimized Wych squads in order to help lock down opponent's who are getting too anxious to close the gap with your precious Venoms.

2 possible thoughts;

Change your HQ to - Archon w. Blaster - he rides with the Trueblasters and actually helps them do what they do.

Drop the 4 man Trueblaster to a 3 man. The Trueblasters get put into Raiders with FFs - this will decrease your anti-infantry somewhat (not that 10 S.Cannons is weak exactly) but will increase your Turn 1 anti-mech firepower, also your HQ actually helps the army now.

Other thought;

Drop the 4 man Trueblaster to a 3 man.

Change your HQ to - Haemy w. Crucible and Shattershard.

Since you'll likely not be using the Liquifier much, the Shattershard is superior in every way, and generally what you'll want to shoot it at (Nobs, Termies, et al) will still be something good to shoot at with Blasters. Secondly, the Crucible is a very tech piece of wargear to have in the current psyker heavy environment.

Hope that helps.
Thor.

It's really one of the standard, known to be good, DE lists.

Venom spam is standard - that doesn't mean his list can't be tweaked to be better Venom spam though.

No doubt, sir. I hadn't thought of using an archon just for an extra blaster. Seems like an expensive, but accurate, blaster. He could also drop a warrior unit and the hammy, and take the baron in a beast unit for a bit of speed bump action. I always find, when running venom spam, that I wish I had something to tie a few units up and act as an expendable barrier while the rest of my forces do their work.

It actually works out as the third cheapest blaster in the codex. Cheapest is the Trueborn (27 points per Blaster) than Warriors (60 per) than the Archon (75) Trailing in the end is the RJB (81) and Scourges (125). Add in that you need an HQ slot, and that he has a high BS and he's actually a pretty solid option if you're going Blaster gunline.

Not a bad call. I like running minimized Wych squads for the Raiders (which can serve as pseudo speedbumps all by themselves), but at 1500 it is getting pretty tight. Having something that can lock up the enemy like Wyches or Beasts can to provide you a defensive screen is a good idea. It's that or using the occasional sacrificial boat at strategic times, really.

I like this option ( partially because of models that I own, I do not have any raiders yet.) I also like this option because I had originally wanted to include the scattershard, as well as the crucible. Thank you for all of your help everyone. I will have to get some raiders to try out the wych squads. The beast unit at this point level is just to expensive. For plans for moving the list to 1850 I was going to add the beast unit and the baron a la DoP, for a decent tarpit, counter assault unit. What do you think?
