Ok these pictures are taken from my phone so some of the details may or may not show up.

All models are WIP. C&C welcome and appreciated.

Autarch - I still need to do the jems and am thinkng a dark purple would be a nice additional color. Also I need to figure out something to do with the sword. Its just painted cold steal currently but I'm thinking of making it a different color entirely (suggestions welcome)

Most of the areas that are black will be drybrushed a dark grey. The only thing I'm still debating is the weapons. Would a bone color look better then another shade of grey?

For the sword, i would suggest a green colour, like the colour i used on my Dark Eldar Kabal Leader (the pictures on my profile). The green seems to add a nice contrast to the red. For the grav tank weapons, i think a creamy bone sort of colour would work well. Nice models by the way.

Do you think a blue would work? The autarch's eyes are blue and perhaps it would tie the model together instead of green. However I do like how that sword did turn out.

I'll try to get a more detailed picture tomorrow. My phone takes better pictures than my camera so i don't know how successful I'll be. Here's a cropped photo which gives you a slightly more detailed photo.

I think you should do something with the lenses and jules, other than that, i like it.

Ask yourself: have you rated a gallery image today?

With regards to the colour of the sword, i would say a blue would work well also. It would be a softer contrast, however you could work up from a very dark blue, to say ice blue on the tip? That may give the same striking effect the green seems to give.

I really need a more clearer shot to be honest, however it looks nice and neat.
It seems to me that your paint seems a wee bit too thick for my liking...
Also, the face plate needs some highlights, flat black is damaging to the overall paint job.

Overall, it looks quite nice! The cloak is particularly good.
I would say to go for a blue blade, it will contrast strongly against the armour. My general recipe is very easy for that, Chainmail base, with successive washes of Asurman Blue until you are happy with the result.

Hope to see it finished soon!
