Hey guys,

Here is a question for you.

Say a drop pod lands 6" away from an enemy squad, the blood claws get out and are now 4-5" away from said squad. Now their rules say they cannot shoot at a unit that is under 6" away and must assault, however because they Deep Striked they are unable to do this.

What happens do they

A) Sit there and do sod all
B) Able to shoot and not assault
C) Not able to Shoot but can assult

Can't Trumps Must, so they can't assault, and they can't shoot.

So If I were you i would deploy them further than six inches away if possible.

I'd say A. Their special rule is keeping them from shooting, but the Drop Pod rules are also keeping them from assaulting. I'd think of it in phases. You drop in the movement phase. Then, you go to the Shooting Phase - they invoke 'Headstrong' (I think it is), so they cannot shoot, and they must assault. Then, the assault phase - they go to assault, but then they're stopped by the Drop Pod's rules (or Deep Strike rules, to be specific).

Give those boys a wolfguard! they too hotheaded todo proper spacemarining!

Also i'd say they do nothing, in headstrong it says must ATTEMPT after forgoing their shooting, nothing about gaining the ability to charge even if they cannot. That same line of logic would allow them to go 12" ina rhino, pop out 6" from something and assault.

BC's are an iffy pick in SW army their berserk charge is far over valued. Much better off with GH and two specials if you want to use a DP.

They will do nothing, as they forgo their shooting then attempt to assault, but will be prevented due to DS rules.

Agree, a wolf priest to join them make the squad just 9 BC, but the preferred enemy ability more than compensates.

(also, adding to nosferatu1001, if they are led by an IC or a wolfguard, they ignore Headstrong)

I know - which is why I said they can then shoot when the drop, when otherwise they wouldnt be able to.
