So what does everyone think is the most popular warhammer40k

Troops?

Tanks?

HQ?

Personally I think for troops terminators are the most popular, maybe tactical squads since everyone need them

For tanks, I think must be rhinos since everyone uses atleast 1 in their army.

HQ got to be one of the GK HQ currently since everyone is starting GK lately.

Unfortunately, that's not really fair to the xenos players who can't take tacticals or terminators. You should really focus on the most important SPACE MARINE troop, elite, etc. from the way you are going. Maybe you can change the title of your thread. Generically though, for all armies I'll say this:

HQ-you gotta have a psyker. Becomes more necessary each time a new book comes out

Elite-need something that can wreck a tank and has good survivability.

Troops-something that can either take or hold objectives well: something tough as nails like plaguebearers to hold, or something assaulty like assault squads (BT or BA) that can take them through weight of attacks

Fast-If something can go flat out, it can get that much needed 3+ cover. Get some and use them on tanks (bikes with meltas, screamers, etc).

Heavy-something that can take a pounding and still dish out a large amount of hurt. Or, it can be a model that is going to draw a lot of attention (aka fire) while the rest of your army does the work.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

OP, your logic is flawed to say the least. Terminators aren't the most popular troops choice as they, well, aren't troops. Even if they were, Tactical Marines would be more popular since it's either them or scouts that every Marine army needs. IG veterans are also very popular, but more folks play Marines than IG, so that still goes to Tactical Marines. Just because GK are fairly popular right now doesn't mean their HQ models outshine everybody else's.

Just my thoughts on what models sell well. From what I seen lately marines and GK are the only ones being sold.

Haven't seen much DE being sold definatly not as popular as GK (there are a few DE player in my local GW shop) we Have more xenos players than marines, if you don't count kids under 12 years old.

However, even so best selling product I think is tactical marines or GK termis because they always seem to be sold out. In my local area anyway.

I think you missed the point, I am just wondering what are the best selling product lately not why people buy a model (and what they use it for)

Wait... What are you asking? Is this like "40k playground popularity contest"?

Terminators aren't troops, and rhinos are transports. And I don't understand-- Never mind.

Tactical marines, razorbacks and the commander kit are probably the ones that sell the best. Maybe the command squad box. Since all of those kits can be used with multiple armies (BA,SM,SW,BT,DA, maybe CSM and GK), they probably sell the most.

Across all armies Space Marine Tactical Marines must be the most popular. Most players I know have Space Marines as well as their main army, so all players have Tactical Marines.

Orks are also quite popular and as they're needed in numbers that would make Ork Boyz popular troops, although I think many players use AoBR ones.

Tank? Rhino is probably the one we we the most.

HQ? Ork Big Mek with KFF. Most Ork players use one whereas Space Marine players all have their own favourites. Although Space Marines Captains and Librarians seem very popular choices.
