A little push in the right direction...
So im looking into starting warhammer 40k as a hobby and ditch the computers...

Ok so a little about me... I enjoy most strategy games Starcraft 2, Shogun Total War 2 the two main ones i play now. I used to collect Warhammer Lizardmen but didnt really get to play properly as i was only like 12 ( im guessing ). I pick up games and rules really quickly and as im a student don't want to throw money at stuff that im not going to keep( starter box for example ). My mate suggested that he might be starting so i thought why not, im 23 and got nothing else to do.

Ive started collecting Grey Knights and would like to meet people to have some games and a bit of a laugh. I'm 23 and got a bit put off from GW as I've been there 2 times (both on Saturdays, planning to go on a week day), this is because it was like a daycare centre for kids. I don't mind playing with younger players as-long as they are mature.

As im a student i have most the summer off so will be available to play whenever. I have never played a game before, but have read the rules and have a good understanding of them and how the game works.

If anyone knows any 40k clubs nearby then that would help alot or just a player wanting some games reply here or send me a message

rickyewen@hotmail.com

Thanks

(As this is a worldwide site im guessing its a longshot)

If you can get to Brighton then there's the Brighton Warlords club on Monday nights, in the function room of the King and Queen Pub. There's plenty of friendly guys there, good quality tables with plenty of great terrain and you can also have a bite to eat there.

There is a club in Warberton not too far from worthing, friday nights meetup are more mature than the saturday morning meetups, but most players are 16+ on Saturdays at least.

I hear rumours that there is a club in Worthing itself somewhere near the station, but I don't know how reliable that rumour is, now do I know who to talk to find out more :(

P.S I don't play Warhammer or 40k anymore as I found the latest revisions were less of a tactical game and more of a dice thrownig or army building contest, I moved on to other systems and haven't looked back (hence why I didn't offer you a game).

Good luck.
