It all depends on a model by model basis. Some casts are good, some aren't so good. If you get a bad cast, call GW and they'll send you a replacement for free. If you get a good cast, enjoy your nice models.

ye as Brother SRM said it's just a matter of if you get a badly cast model you can exchange it for a normally perfect finecast miniature

Not every Finecast model will be bad...
Some will come out perfect and others will be horrbly maimed...

and i do believe that most of the plastic DE had little bubble like holes in there capes and robes, they are meant to be bullet holes.

so double check next time as that maybe how they are meant to be

I saw the finecast succubus and actually held her in my hand (that sounded dirty). There were no miscasts on her at all. Not a single one. So, not all DE are bad. I cannot speak for anything other than the succubus I saw/held though.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

No, they shouldnt have any holes whatsoever in their capes or robes. If their are small bubbles, a small dab of glue will sort it out

the plastic model have purposely placed holes on their robes as the shard entry and exit wounds on there robes (made from the skin of their enemies), why would they have holes in the are dark elf space pirates.

I've not had any problems with my Finecast DE. I've even posted my own review. I liked them so much, I got some Finecast Incubi, which also had no problems.

My Archon was in pretty poor shape, had to get a replacement. It's actually keeping me from buying the Finecast Incubi, I'm frightened they'll be rubbish.

GW customer service has always been outstanding if the the company's policies have been a bit rubbish. If you have any problems, you'd be able to return them.

Correct; two guys at my FLGS bought Archons. I had to explain with my metal Archon that GW decided to model the fact that DE are the biggest bullet magnets EVER.

Do you have any models of your own? Those guys have holes by the dozen. Make sure you know what you're talking about BEFORE you write it.

Eh actually I have about 750 points of DE, including a metal Archon, Finecast Succubus, 20 warriors and other stuff. No fething holes anywhere.

Mind pointing out these fabled bullet holes?
