Hi all,

Just thought I'd show my first Khador Warjack. I originally got the set for a buddy of mine's birthday in the hopes that we could learn the game but he decided to abandon mini collecting and painting after a bad tau experience (don't ask). I basecoated all the reds with my airbrush using model air Hull red( very similar to a super dark gory red) then some scarlett red, then the usual boltgun metal/badab black washing for the metals and brass and gold/brown washes for the brassy parts. A little Tamiya weathering was used as well.

Looking good. I really dig the red. It's perfectly reasonable to assume that the jack would've been painted up once assembled, leaving the rivets the same color as the plates, but I feel that doing up the body panel rivets with the same brass/gold as those on the "neck" would add a touch of interest/spiff to a model that looks great, if not quite complete, to my eye.

I was considering doing the rivets metal also but I was kind of going for the look off the box. I'm still considering it as your kind of right that its weird that those neck bolts aren't painted but all the others are. Considering a few oil efects off the bolts as well. I'm also contemplating a smoke effect out of the stacks with some blackened cotton. I'm also very pleased with how the red came out, would look awesome on Chaos marines don't you think?
