Hello everyone! Just finished my first metal mini - one and only Great Wolf Logan Grimnar. Feel free to criticize!

Not going to criticise man, because I think it's a great mini. Just wanted to say that I really like the red hair - not seen it before on a Logan model and it really suits. Nice job!

The axe is actually a really nice bit there. How did you make the snow?

It is a mixture of baking soda : PVA glue : water ~4:3:2 + a little bit of skull white (sometimes PVA glue becomes yellow), recipe taken from here: http://www.belloflostsouls.net/2008/12/tutorial-snow-basing.html

I really like the effect on the power axe.

I wish you had a better pic of what looks like free hand work on his right shoulder pad. From what I can see looks pretty good. Good job on the over all paint job.

Absolutely wonderful job there my friend!! I take this is a younger Logan without White hair?! Love the axe, and also would love to see the free hand shoulder pad! Excellent job, I'm just about to start mine! He's the greatest leader of all time (apart from Russ himself!) and you have done him serious justice there!!

As I promised, here is the shoulder pad - really nothing to look at

Give the white a 2nd coat and to be honest that is freehand to be proud of. Already looks good but thicken it up and it'll be spot on.

Though it looks like you've already varnished so might be out of the question.

I do like how you've done the armour in general. Good job.

I think you have done a pretty decent job - well done!

Some minor things like the rope in his hair is the same colour as his hair and overall the model looks a little shiny.

Love the axe though.

Looks great! I love the shoulder pad.
My suggestion: Use a matte varnish, and then paint on some Ardcoat for the metallic bits, or things that should be shiny.
