Hi, i'd just like to know how to avoid the automatic appending of my posts as when i try to update my project log all updates are immediately attatched to the previous post and as such my thread only continues to dissapear amongst the other project logs. It'd just be helpful to know because at the moment an update i made 10 minutes ago is attatched to a post from 10 hours before and not showing as anything new having happened.

i know this sounds kind of selfish almost like i'm seeking attention but i'm not, i'm just trying to find out how to seperate my posts

I actually read this an hour ago and thought, it'll be fine if you just post less often. A MOD will come along and explain.

I am now back because a post of mine was just appended and i don't think it should have. Has something possibly changed or am i imagining it? I just got appended onto a post i made yesterday. The only difference i can see is that my last post had been appended also, due to something i had forgot to mention. Could this be the reason?

Apparently their is a teeny loophole of sorts...
If both posts have pictures in it dodges the auto-append from what i heard...

Until then we can overuse ellipses. Seriously though a tiny little image or maybe just use an empty image code. I'll need to try that at some point.

I used to! When i tired to stop i started overusing exclamation marks! Its a hard habit to break really! It also makes me seem quite obnoxious!! I'd swap to question marks but i'd likely seem quite lost!

Back on topic: Is it normal that my posts are being appended after a whole day? Or did i maybe post them about 8 hours ago and theres a 10 hour wait?

I'm not sure what the time window is for appending posts...
I'm not even sure if there is one to be honest...

post 24 hours after the last post = no auto append
another user posts = no auto append
attachments on the first or second post = no auto append (but non-related attachments are a punishable offense so dont do it just to avoid autoappend)
