Subject: Dark Angel drop pods coming in on turn 1 question

I just got my new deathwing army (looks very unique, I will post pics later!) and started using a build with a drop pod carrying a venerable dreadnaught armed with a multi melta and a heavy flamer and CCW (the flamer is there in case I get denied a vehicle shot on the drop and it worked like a charm in 1 of the 3 games), I am 2 wins and 1 tie in first 3 games against more than decent competition so I am excited about the build HOWEVER, I have been dropping the one Pod I have in build on turn 1 etc.
I was told today by an observer that its an illegal move by a dark angels player since they can not come in on turn 1 as other drop pods do and must arrive on turn 2 during a reserve roll ( deep strike etc). I really did not have an answer for him as I assumed the new drop pod rules were in effect (as they are for everyone else).
Have a I missed a faq that clears this up? (the dark angels faq is non specific about it)
Is it an illegal move for a dark angels player ? (makes no sense if it is).
any help really appreciated. As I have a tournament coming up and need to clear this up quickly one way or another.

He was correct. DA and Black Templar pods are in regular reserve, and can't arrive turn 1. Turn 1 DSing is possible using Deathwing Assault with terminators instead.
DA and BT still use the old Pod rules, although GW updated their BS to 4 in the FAQ update in January, when they updated most of the wargear (smoke, storm shields, cyclones, typhoon MLs, etc.).

Thank you for the quick repsonse.
If I use deathwing assault, and have 3 termie units can 2 come in on the first turn and the 3rd one comes in with the drop pod as per regular deep strike rules?

Only for the DA. BT Drop Pods still have BS 2.

Probably because the BT Pod "Fire on the same turn they arrive" rule was left alone.
