So I have both of my rihnos side by side.

One pops smoke.

This necron guy with his destroyers says he want to shoot the one which didn't pop smoke.

His shooting at it as an angel so more than 50% of the tank is hidden behind the other, I thought I get a cover save but he says that he can see 100% of the front of my tank so I get no cover save.

Do I get a cover save if 50% of my tank is hidden or 50% of the side of the tank that he is shooting at is hidden?

50% of the fac ing the firing model is shooting in to get a cover save for a vehicle

Also, rules questions go in YMDC, the rules subforum....

Yes, the only time he can shoot at the front facing is if the side were completely obscured. If you can see the facing you are in (even just a sliver) you must shoot at that facing. If the facing you are in is 100% obscured, but you can see another facing, you may shoot at the other facing but the target gets a 3+ cover save.

If you can't see your facing at all, you may shoot another facing at 3+ cover.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.

Dallas Texas

If he is shooting at your front facing, but he can see it 100% there is no cover save.

If he is shooting at your front facing, but it is obscured 50% , you get a 4+ cover save.

If your rhino is at an angle, and there is another rhino in front of your front facing so he cant see the front facing at all, but is still in the front arc, he shoots are your side. But because he cant see the facing hes firing at you get a 3+ cover save.

What smitty wrote is ONLY true if the model that is firing at the tank is actually IN The front arc of the tank. You can't choose to shoot at a different facing just because you can see it better.
