Idea is obvious. Problem is, it appears that I have to cut one set of Hydra Gauntlets. I hate that because it makes the list look weird (hate having "duplicate" squads that aren't really duplicates). Also, the Haemonculi are just bare bones. Does anyone else hate having to cut wargear like the way I am proposing? Because I hate it.

Downunder

Depending on what you want to keep, knock 1-2 of the warrior squads into Venomsand use the remaining points to buff everything else.

Also littlenibbler Orks aren't about armour saves.
Orks are about having too many models on the table, and wasting the other guy's time with your movement phase.
Orks are about having the toughest units on the table.
Orks are about not caring about how many bodies are left in a long winding trail until the squad is down to less than a third its starting strength.
Orks are about rolling more dice then you can count without the aid of a calculator or a pen and paper.
Orks are about having totally fething insane characters tearing gak down like Doc Grotsnik, Ghazghkull or Snikrot.
Orks are about being too fething awesome to die...

What I would do:

Instead of the 3 Hydra Gauntlets, take 3 Liquefier Guns for the Haemonculi. Then you can fly around with them in the raiders and liquefy stuff, and it makes it so that your 150 points of HQ are somewhat useful for something other than a pain token. Besides, Liquefiers are about the best templates in the game!

This is the fat on your list, everything else is muscle, but this is a load of fat.
I'll second the thundering panda that Liquifiers on your Haemys is a *very* good idea.

Let's consider what you're getting for 170 points;

4-6 S.Cannon shots (when moving 6" or less)
9-18 S.Rifle shots (when moving 6" or less)
(13-24 poison shots - 13-22 if moving)
Scoring unit.
1 lance shot (moving 12" or less)
Skimmer
Invulnerable save

Let's consider some alternates that could be dramatically saving you points;
5 Warriors, Blaster. 1 Venom w. extra S.Cannon - 125 points

What do you get for 125 points?

12 S. Cannon shots (moving 12" or less)
4-8 S.Rifle shots
(16-20 poison shots pretty much whether or not you move, which is on average *better* than your 170 point option, yeah?)
Scoring unit
1 lance shot (when moving 6" or less)
Skimmer
Invulnerable save
45 POINTS TO SPEND ELSEWHERE

So...almost as good, or potentially better, and if you do it to both units you will save...90 points! That's HUGE.

If you're taking them more for the anti-tank than the poison shots, you can put th e5 man squads in Raiders at a grand total extra cost of 5 points each, so you'll still save 80 points and actually end up with dramatically more anti-tank than you had before.

Thor's recommendation brings your list to what mine is (almost) ... at 1850. Only my 3 haems *do* have 2 liquifiers and a ShatterShard.

And, admittedly, that Warrior/Venom is still an odd piece of the list. But 'tis more useful than a Raider fulla KWs.

Since the useful slots are full, elite, HS and the wyche/PainToken/haem HQs, you could try tightening down to 1850.

Sticking to 2k? An option would be to convert those two Warrior boats into one platform for Archon and Entourage delivery ... more girls. It's sexier.

You COULD drop the wych agonizers to power weapons. That frees up 30 points, so the haemonculi can get some new toys. And before i receive hatred for the agonizer vs power weapon argument, the power weapon recieves more benefit from the combat drugs the wyches recieve than the agonizer, not to mention once they hit s4 (start em with a haemonculus and they are already half way there painwise, and then 2 of the 6 drug rolls will start you off at that s4) it basically is an agonizer vs most infantry, and sometimes better. If there was one thing about my wyches that always bugged me it was fighting eldar or gaunts with an agonizer and while the rest of my squad wounds on a 3+, my agonizer does on a 4+. That aside, I run a similar list and am usually quite successful with it.

How are you getting my list at 1850?

185 points = x3 haems with x2 liquifiers, 1 Shattershard

296 points = x2 Wyche crews - 8 wyches (haywired), 1 Shardnet + Hekazgonizer
138 points = x1 Wyche crew - 8 wyches (haywired), + Hekazgonizer
210 points = their 3 raiders FF

324 points = x3 Trueborn units with blasters x4
195 points = their 3 Venoms Xtra SplintCan

45 points Kwarriors x5
45 points Kwarriors x5
65 points one more venom with Extra SplintCan

345 points = x3 Ravagers - FF

1848 total.

Not so long ago, Thor reviewed this and pointed out that *my* Kwarriors are superfluous & ill fitting (my words). I agreed, but since the wyches get busy, they aren't always in shape or available for objective duty and the 2 KWarrior units do that for me. When I get better, I won't need this crutch. It's been working fairly well, unless I run into GKs.
