Subject: Is Bjorn worth running in a msu balanced force wolves list?

I tried Bjorn when I first started wolves and decided he wasn't worth it because of his high cost and I rather for aprox Bjorn's cost run a battle leader on thunder kitty with claw and two lil kitties joined by a thunder kitty with claw. However I been considering cutting out Thunder kitties because of Grey Knight force weapons along with psycannons and storm bolters proving big threats to them. I am looking at other options and I saw Reecius was running Bjorn so taking another look at Bjorn.
Advantages of Bjorn.
Bjorn lets you reroll the die when rolling to go first. This seems pretty good since going first is getting more and more important with all the shooty armies and Space Wolves really doesn't reserve well with long fangs.
Bjorn actually is pretty difficult to kill being av13, venerable with a 5+ invulnerable so often gets ignored.
Bjorn is a good counter assault unit especially when you Jaws out their powerfist or klaw or they didn't have one.
Bjorn has quite a few disadvantages
Bjorn is quite expensive points wise and goes against the whole msu concept.
Bjorn can be a liability with the living relic rule forfeiting additional kill points or counting as an objective.
Bjorn's armament is lackluster as the assault cannon is ranged 24 which puts him a bit to close for comfort to fast moving multimeltas and the plasma cannon is a bit underwelming unless shooting at marines who just had their transport destroyed since good players space their models.
What are your opinions of Bjorn?

What's your list?
Basically, I'd say the benefits of Bjorn can be influenced significantly by the list he is used with; as you (and Reecius of course) noted, he's very efficient with a Shooty-wolves list as he can really improve an Alpha-strike. Arguably, he'd also be useful in a drop-pod hybrid or assault list for similar reasons.
Ultimately, I'd recommend checking the link in Reecius' signature for how to use Bjorn and whether you should or shouldn't use Bjorn. I've gone over the big man in my tactica (signature) but I bow down to Reecius' superior knowledge here.
The Plasma Cannon's the best option due to Bjorn's benefits in regards to scatter IMHO.

"As I recall, your face was tortured. Imagine that - the Master of the Wolves, his ferocity twisted into grief. And yet you still carried out your duty. You always did what was asked of you. So loyal. So tenacious. Truly you were the attack dog of the Emperor. You took no pleasure in what you did. I knew that then, and I know it now. But all things change, my brother. I'm not the same as I was, and you're... well, let us not mention where you are now."

Use Bjorn in shooty wolf lists when A-strike is the utmost importance.

Whats the actual math on Bjorn's improvement to your first turn percentage? I remember when it was legal the Daemonhunter inquisitor ally with tarot for the +1 to go first was taken for that reason.

Assuming your opponent doesnt have any modifiers, it will be 75% for you.
