Hey,

I was thinking about including a techpriest in my Imperial Guard army, but I have a small question.
A techpriest has a PW and a Servo-arm (str 8, I1)
Then he has two special weapons and only gains one attack in close combat right?
Just trying to make sure, so I make no mistakes when I'm playing.

Thanks,
Loner

The servoarm is not a special ccw that he can use, so he still gains an additional attack if he has a pistol

The servo arm is a special weapon that strikes at i1 in at s8 in addition to your normal assault attacks. This does more have to do with the power weapon attacks and is completely separate.

Aka if a is 1 then on the charge you get 2 pw attacks at i3 and one addditional attack that is s8 at i1.

Some of my numbers may be off. I don't gave my codex handy.

The servo arm is a special case were it gives you a bonus attack with those stats in addition to your normal set of attacks. The servo arm is static, it doesn't gain bonuses from charging or dual servo arms.

The servo Harness would like to have a word with you.

Servo Arm/Harness is not a Special Weapon in itself, it is a peice of wargear with a specific effect.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.

The servo harness gives you another servo arm, so there's two of them (dual) each giving one attack, but not able to combine for the 2 CCW rule since they are wargear.

I'm pretty sure that the IG variant has no servo harness.
His wargear consists of:
Power Armour, Laspistol, Power Weapon, Servo-arm, Frag and Krak grenades
