Hi

The search function is giving me some weird error message so forgive me if it's been asked before.

Can a Necron squad caught in a sweeping advance make their wbb rolls?

No. You don't get WBB after being caught by sweeping advance even if a rez orb is nearby. Fear fast moving close combat armies.

The entire unit, including any downed necons awaiting WBB, are gone.

Read the SA rule, it specifically states no special rule can save you UNLESS it specifies it works against SA - and WBB does NOT specify

Unfortunately true.

Marines are immune to sweeping advance through ATSKNF, which represents their high level of training and mental resistance to fear.

Immortal robots that have no fear are not. Sad but true..

Is anyone Non-Marine immune to SA? I'm curious now...

Only fearless armies like Deamons.

Thank you all. The BRB says exactly that nosferatu. I had doubts because the Necron Codex says you can do wbb when you suffer casualties.

It doesn't help that the Necron codex is written for the ruleset 2 editions back, where a ot of rules worked differently or didn't exist yet..

If GW could keep all the codexes updated to within an edition of each other it would help

In this particular case, it doesn't actually make any difference. Sweeping Advance has changed, but Necrons' susceptibility to it has not.

However the 5th edition combat resolution rules that add a negative to your LD for each person you lost by have made them more likely to get swept.
