In the Space Marine Codex it states that one unit of terminators may take a Land Raider of any type as a dedicated transport. it also states the same for Assault termies. so is it then possible to take two Land Raiders and still get three other heavy support choices?

4+ raiderspam is annoying, but legal.

Some armies really struggle agaisnt that AV 14, but the flipside is, as mentioned, your army will be tiny and made entirely of pointsinks..

Thanks for that! I also thought it would be overkill, but I just wasn't sure if it was legal. doesn't sound like much of a fun list though.

still not as bad as BT Raider spam.

A lot of newbie players will plonk down 5 landraiders and a few models to put in them, because 'Landraiders are da Bomb, ya know.."

Comes as a nasty shock to them that a single round of Dark Eldar shooting can have those bombs exploding all over the place..

I would never take more than 3 when i played imperials, and that in pretty high point games. It's not a lot of fun for either side when one side has everyone in metal boxes with AV 14 (unless you are a space elf )

Now i have to pick up the BT codex. I've been wanting to for a while

It's only the LRC though, which the Black Templars invented in the first place.

For thirteen years I had a dog with fur the darkest black. For thirteen years he was my friend, oh how I want him back.

A list like that will have both a tremendous advantage against some lists and horrible disadvantage against others.

That many land raiders will seriously hurt a lot of Ork and Marine lists but stuggle against AT heavy Guard, Tau and DE.

Although, with lascannons on them, you could shut down a lot of AT options for many races early on. Would be fun to toy with imo.

"AM are bunch of half human-half robot monkeys who keep tech working by punching it with a wrench And their tech is so sophisticated that you could never get it wrapped it out" thing a LITTLE to seriously. It also goes "Tau tech is so awesome I wish I was Tau and not some stupid Human" thing.
