Yup, Stelek inspired (sorta). It isn't exactly rocket science - just redundancy, or the less kind term - spamming. This list has 48 Psycannon shots and something like 60 S5 Storm Bolter shots at a 30" effective range. Four guys in each squad at 4+ invulns, while the rest are 5+, so not exactly as survivable as Thundernators, but come on, its 52 Terminators! With proper cover, this army should be suitably durable. Four I6 guys, four I4 guys, and two Hammers swing in combat, giving me a decent chance to thump opponents.

Another big reason I want this army is because I want to paint it like MajorTom @ DakkaDakka did with OSL and whatnot. Such a damn good looking army! In addition to that, it has no vehicles, an assault phase, and a low-ish model count. In other words, the antithesis of my Guard army.

Thoughts?

I like it, I've been thinking about doing an army which is similar. I would go with a libbie instead of one of the Inquisitors. But that is just me personally. I just think the various improvements a libbie can bring to the table is worth finding the points for him.

I'm thinking they will be too slow. You're right it is alot of termies but they are all walking.

Just my 2 cents.

Yea, but how far can you go to get away from 52 Terminators that can shoot 24". Also, it is very low on KP, even if I combat squad. You would need to assault me to shift me off objectives, so mobility only matters so much. Not to mention, they can Deep Strike.

Yup, Stelek inspired (sorta).

If by sorta you mean almost completely ripped off his blog then yes. In all seriousness I don't mind it and think that it would be pretty cool. The psybolt ammo might be a good buy and you will ahve to rely on shooting with this list. I do think that it would be a better buy than the Warding Stave.

Right, because it was never, ever done by anyone else - ever - until Stelek posted it on his blog.

No need to be defensive, it's not a huge deal. You mentioned it was inspired and I just pointed out that it was more "slightly changed" than inspired. I like yours better to be honest.

I wasn't defensive - hence the winky face. I gave credit to Stelek, because it is due. While I had seen plenty of lists, most opted for a Libby. His use of OMI was sharp, so I had to give it up to him for that.

Otherwise, how else would you make a GKT spam list? I am hoping, too, that I can proxy test this list here in the next week or two. If it goes well, I will be trying to get it at least assembled for 'Ard Boyz this year.

Haha no worries I didn't mean to seem like a jerk. I do agree that the OMI was a great call.

Probably not another way to do it. If you want all Termies then this is probably best. I suppose you could opt for a peppering of Paladins but they really aren't that amazing. Other than that it's just wargear preference.

I don't think it will be too slow at all. This kind of army needs to get to the center of the board to be effective, which it will do.

There are a couple of extreme builds (DE Venom MSU spam, various IG builds) that I think it would have issues with as well as Capture and Control missions.

Enough with the armylists. Lets see some painted armies

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

Painted armies? I have done plenty of those. A pity none were mine.

C&C would be difficult, but isn't it always? I could hunker down on mine and DS everything else onto their objective and hope for the best.

Out of interest, can you explain the rationale behind the two OMIs over the Libby?

Seems to me the synergistic potentials a Librarian brings to the table are even more magnified in higher points games...

Eight additional Psycannon shots count for a lot. What does the Librarian bring beyond Sanctuary and Shrouding? The former helps me stall charges sometimes, while the latter just increases my save from a 4+ cover to a 3+ cover.

Both have merit, but I think the extra shots are worth it. Going to try to test out both options soon.

You could get a librarian with Psybolt and a couple powers. Would add a lot me thinks.

Yeah the list might suffer in mobility, but when you lolcombatsquads you have 10 squads of terminators all spread out. They lack in mobility what can be made up in staying power.
A list like this can work, but you still have problems with AV 12, even with all your pyscannons. But even then it looks like fun, but make sure to test-play it!

Also, a psychic hood. Perhaps even more important if you're not taking Dreadnaughts with that special aegis rule.

Well, I suppose I will try them both out. Just need to get about 20 more 40mm bases and I can proxy-test it.

Really, really trying to find a way to make this army magnetized and able to convert to Deathwing. I have a custom Chapter in mind that fluff-wise can work for it, but I will be damned if it won't cost me a fortune.
