Most promising indeed, dig the gaunts especially.
As this is going to be an ongoing project, I'm going to move this over to the P & M blog section of the site.
.. so no slacking off now !

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

Very promising. We shall watch to see this develop - the shrike conversions are rather well done though you need to do something for the rear limbs - perhaps converting up rending claws as feet?

Nice shrikes, makes a fairly cheap alternative to buying the forgeworld wings.
They don't look small either, which is surprising.
Good choice on the Kraken scheme too.

Thanks, I will be making sure future threads will go in their correct locations!

Ya, I have always thought the Shikes where just like giant Gargoyles...so no legs. But if I prime them (they originally were just Warriors on the bases, you can see their glued feet), the leg locations will be flat so I will need to actually be doing something with them sometime.

Ya, tell me about it. I get crushed so much its dis-heartening.

Ya, I am kinda surprised the Gargoyle wings fit nicely. And I do not see many people do Kraken schemes, of course, I do not see many people play Tyranids so...
I will either be painting the rest of my Hormagaunts and taking pictures of them also. They will actually be painted using a wash instead of all dry brushing and stuff. Hope they will not look too differently. And about the bases, I was thinking about doing some type of jungle theme to them. So how would you go about differentiation between models that look alike? I was thinking painting the flat, outside surface of the base a different color. I normally play 2 squads of 16 Hormagaunts so I could paint the first 16 blue and the last 16 yellow? Trying to think of colors that do not distract from the models and it's soon to be basing but can easily be distinguished between squads if they were mixed together.

The Emperor extends His will to us when we destroy the wicked and impure to reconquer the galaxy in His name. The Emperor leads the galaxy to righteousness, and thus we must petition for His judgement on the wicked... for it is judgement without mercy..
