Hi everyone, thought I'd share this transport I made for my Guard. It's a converted Revell model kit of a modern German APC. I did a simple turret conversion and stuck IG bits here and there, along with the Tank Commander to make it fit in! I haven't totally finished it though, it's probably sitting at 95% done. I need to go back and add weathering and battle damage to it before I'll call it 100% done.
It is rather long compared to other Guard vehicles but I plan on converting all vehicles as count-as for my Death Korps. Obviously LOS is an issue since this would technically be a Chimera count-as despite being about almost twice as long... but yeah, like I said I plan on making every vehicle for my Death Korps converted (non- GW) aside from the gunships! Anyways here's the pics, hope you like it!
(Apologies for the photos. I'm not a great photographer/editor and some parts are blurry and dark. I'll try and get better pics up. The Red/White insignia on the vehicle is blurry for some reason... it's totally square in reality).

I have that model! It's a bastard to make fully, and the rubber wheels just pissed me off.

Fully agree. As you'll be able to see, having it yourself, I left off alot of the stuff. And yeah, the wheels were just silly. I basically built it to the point where the structure was built and didn't bother with the rest of the details since they wouldn't be needed.

I built it fully. I had to scrap it 3 times, and when it was finally built...
I cut it in half and turnet it into terrain! Haha! Take that, you stupid Level 5 Revell kit!

Yea, some model kits can be really annoying. Still it looks great! Sometimes I get really tired of the chimera since it takes its design from russian APCs

Needs more rivets. It's too smooth for imperial stuff.

Well I was wanting to get away from that look as I never liked the small, short, chubby, Soviet-looking Guard vehicles. But thanks for the input.

the look of the guard vehicles was picked out on those early tanks, the German "Tiger" being one. the idea is tht there stuff needs to look low tech and mass produced next to the clean lines of marine gear.

Even older than that. We're talking about WW1 era vehicles. But whose to say there arent homegrown vehicles used by scattered regiments?
