Subject: Eldar Question

Hellish Haemonculus

So I had a question about the Eldar...since I am not going to actually pay for a Codex that I have no intention of ever making an army for...
What is the Eldar version of the Ultramarines? Which Craftworld is the 'default' one? And, if possible, what is their color scheme? Checked Lexicanum but couldn't really get a definitive answer.

On moon miranda.

There isn't really a default Eldar army in all honesty in the same way that the Ultramarines/Black Legion/Cadians/etc are for their respective races.

The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts. |

So, follow-up question. Are their color schemes determined by aspect or by craftworld? I've offered to paint an army for someone else, but I seem to be having a little difficulty finding out what colors I am supposed to be painting it.

Either really. Each aspect technically has its own color scheme, but you see them as often in Craftworld colors as not. I'd go with whatever you think looks cooler.

There are craftworld colours, which are the colors of guardians, wraith constructs and vehicles, and there aspect colours which are specific for each aspect, no matter the craftworld.

Ask yourself: have you rated a gallery image today? |

Thank you Mr. Nobody. The specifics there are a big help. Guardians, vehicles equal craftworld color scheme, aspect warriors painted by aspect. Thanks everyone, I appreciate the assistance.

Ultramarine Master with Gauntlets of Macragge

Ulthwe has been the default in almost all the Dawn of War games, and Saim-Hann is on a lot of box art. As has been said, they don't have a plain and simple Ultramarines analog.
