Hey I recently played against a gk player who scout moved one storm raven and outflanked another. I believe he used the grand master rules. Could someone please explain this. Sorry if this is a stupid question. I just thought vehicles couldnt gain his special rules

Vehicles besides walkers cannot be assigned abilities from the grand strategy. Stormravens are not dedicated transports so the units inside cannot allow the vehicle to out flank either.

Illegal. The only type of vehicle the Grand Master can give the Scout USR to are Walkers.

Okay thats what I thought as per the grand strategy, so storm ravens cant alpha strike/scout move? Sounds fair imo since they can hold a dread and squad...damn gk

Its always a good thing to ask your opponent to show you the rule in the codex that allows this. Its quite possible he just didn't read it carefully enough.

yeah, the only thing you might come accross is that Unyielding Anvil makes Dreds scoring.

only Walkers, Infantry, Jump Infantry, and Monsterous Creatures may be given Grand Strategy.

Just to clarify; Models can start the game in vehicles that are not necessarily dedicated transports but have a carrying capacity. They do not, however, convey their USR's to that vehicle. Is that correct? and where does it say that in the BRB just for future reference?

Inquisitorial lesson #298: Why to Hate Choas Gods, cont'd-
With Chaos, Tzeench would probably turn your hands, feet and face into
scrotums, complete with appropriate nerve endings. Then Khorne would
force you and all your friends to fight to the death using your new
scrotal appendages. Once they get tired of that, you get tossed to
Slaanesh who <censored by order of the Inquisition>, until you finally
end up in Nurgle's clutches and he uses you as a loofah.

That is correct. I don't have my rulebook on me, but it is in the Reserves section, after Missions.

You only pass on USRs if your rule specifically states so, for example Scout can be given to Dedicated Transports.
