So... the sisters dex will be coming out in July and August... This leaves me with the question... when will it be tourny legal? What do you guys think? will it be legal in August because of the 1 month rule? Or will it be legal in September??

I really would love the chance to bring updated sisters to NOVA

I was told the white dwarfs come out on the 25th of the month. So the next white dwarf is the storm of chaos one coming out June 25th. Then July 25th and August 25th for Sisters segments

That gives you like 4 days to get your army ready for Nova. Doesn't sound like a good idea

My friends are telling me to stick with Space Wolves because I been playing it longer then Grey Knights although I want to play with my custom storm Ravens

Chances are that the fluff/unit descriptions are July and rules are August. I'm guessing it won't be legal at most tourneys until September.

Although it would be nice (I thought of you when I saw the new sisters rumors) I doubt it will be legal.

AFAIK the "books" will be released in two parts, rules/etc on July 25th, and the point costs/army composition section on August 25th. If that's the case, the entire kit and caboodle wouldn't be out until ~2 days before NOVA, which I'm guessing will be considered not enough lead time, especially for the purposes of Judges and players familiarity with the rules.

Most tourneys run something like a 2 month lead time on a new codex, so if this comes out in August I wouldn't expect it to be played in a tournament until October at the earliest.

I imagine the Codex will be tournament legal - the old BA White Dwarf codex was always ok in tournaments - but the one month rule will still apply.

If the bestiary and rules are both out before 8/1, sure, but I don't think that'll happen.

A codex has to be released for one full calendar month before it's tourney legal.
Of course, the only true arbiter of this is the TO.

I would say it is a tight fit for NOVA, but it is also not like how Codex Space Marines which 3/4th of the playerbase was impacted being released mid-summer.

Personally, I haven't played a sisters player in 2 years and am still confused about the acts of faith from the current list. So if they wanted to use a week old WD codex, I would not know the difference, and I would hope the new codex was 'better'

Bad timing indeed. I just started Space Puppies now I have to update my Sisters and push back my custom chapter again. Since Cruddance is writing it I hope the new codex Sisters is IG good and not Nids mediocre

I think you mean 'I hope the new codex has a IG style FAQ and not a Nids style FAQ.'

Kinda irrelevent if new models aren't forthcoming. Your current 2000 point army suddenly becomes 1250 with the loss of =I= and allies plus lower points cost.
With no models/kits available it will be kinda hard to rebuild the missing 750 points.
