So i just recently got a squad of wolf guard terminators that are going to be the start of a terminator based planet strike army and looking for some tips. I'm not that experienced as a painter but am trying to get better and this will be my first time painting space wolves.

I like the normal light blue/greyish space wolf scheme, however i want them to be darker then normal ones, anyone have any ideas how i can come about doing this?

Space wolves are great fun to paint, you can be a little rougher and as long as they're blue grey or grey you can have a heap of different colours and finishes to them!

Yeah that's along the lines of what im looking for with the darkness of them. I think i want to go a little more of a blue'er route, but a pm on how you did those would help a ton cause i like a lot about them

Just my advice on this: if you're newer to painting and are trying out new techniques and color schemes, I would start with some basic space marines, your toops, and once you feel more confident and have more experience with your scheme move onto terminators. Imo, it is better to have the lowly troops as your 'test models' so to speak and have your terminators looking really well done.

Well yeah my first was the black reach set and i think the marines came out pretty decent, and IMO i did better on the terminators. It mightve just been because i spent more time on them though lol

I used "09020 Twilight Blue" by Reaper (master series)

I found it in the "Grey Blues" color triads, b/c you can basecoat in the darkest (midnight blue), hit it with the central twilight blue, then highlight with the lightest color (snow shadow)

Why is it that only those who have never fought in a battle are so eager to be in one?
