I would like to start out stating that I do not believe this goes against board policy of Spam, since its not unrelated to gaming and it has no cost I am just posting this because the games played by pretty much all warhammer/warmachine players and Our kind of gamer like this kind of game. (the game is free and is merely ran on a Free Forum)




The game is a Strategy game where Kingdoms fight to take control Of Ancile. Now the most interesting part of the game is that players design their own kingdom (write the story, create the units with a unit designer rule set) so its great for those who are creative or always wanted to play a race in warhammer that had no book or has no book. The game of course isnt like warhammer in that its closer to Axis and Allies and Risk as it is a territory grab game, Every territory is worth RP and RP buys troops, boats, special units, boats ect. Your Kingdom also gets to design 1 Special Character or as we call them 1 Hero which can be as strong as a Unit and have special actions like your special units. I have mentioned special units twice now and well I think I better explain what they are. Basically there is 6 Special units the first a Scout (which can steal from kingdoms and spy on there territories giving you exact troop counts, they also have lots of cool missions they can do like Assassination and Hinder Building) Mages are your spellcasters they can choose when you build your Mage Tower what lore to use from the following Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, and Death each lore has specific advantages and disadvantages but they give players even more choices that make their kingdom unique. The next thing are priests which can follow a different religion (there is several created ones but you can make your own too) His Religion allows him to cast prayers through Faith Points. Siege weapons which barrage the enemy before a fight, and flyers which can be used to fly across territories giving you the ability to attack the ungaurded.

All in All its a fun game that takes about 30 min to 1 Hour of actual involvement a week to post orders and talk to allies, if you want to join just register dont worry about reading the rules just yet they are lengthy but I can help you with the required knowledge, I am voltek on the site pm me for help if you need it. after you register go to kingdom registration and register as a Kingdom or Hero, if you want to play.

I have noticed many people coming to the site registering and then just not posting and I want to say that the Rules are not as steep a learning curve as they appear you just need to know Topic 1 the Basics, all the other Rules you can learn when they come up, also Designing your units and hero can be done by the admin upon request so dont think that you cant ask for help.

The entire thing is a role play?
I'm a touch confuzzled...

Its a Roleplaying game and a Strategic War Game, Players are vying for the Land against one another on the War side of things. But players are asked to do quests and to write Kingdom Backround Fluff for their Kingdom on the Story side of things.

All you have to do to play as a Kingdom Is Register your Kingdom then once we get 12 Kingdom Players we will start picking Colors and Territories each Kingdom gets 1 Starting Territory so you could say

Kingdom Name: Purple Food Warriors
Hero Name: Commander Purple
Race: Purple Food

and then you could pick the color Purple and start in T16

I the adimin would then put all of the players castles on the map and we would begin with Turn 1, in which case you would post your orders.

I would say the Game is mostly a War Strategy game and the Roleplaying is dependant on the players and how much they want to play the part of their kingdom, and interact with the Roleplaying Admin.

It sounds a lot of fun but i really don't have the time for it right now...

What you could do is Register as a Hero and join a kingdom telling them that you cant post orders for the first 3-4 Turns that way your not required to post turn orders and then when your ready join in your already set up with a Team.

and If designing a Hero gets to be way to complex the admins can always do it for you as long as they know the gist of the Hero like Race and Stlye of fighting

If you don't mind but i think it suits my nature to wait and see who is doing good before i commit myself... if that is posssible
If i had the time to join in straight away i would but this way seems... much more sensible considering the circumstances...

I understand then I would say just post that you will play as a Hero in Kingdom Registration mentioning that you will be active in 4 weeks or 3-4 turns and then be done with it until then, that way players will know you and remember you when looking for Heroes later on.

Looks reasonably interesting. I'm reading the rules right now.

It is, Right now we are in the Rebuilding phase of it since I (the admin) took a long while off after Game 5 due to Moving and a Euro Trip type thing so now that I am set back up in a new location we all got back together and are trying to spread the word. More players will start funneling back in within this week most likely since we had active players that have not heard its back up yet.

I like the whole risk with a twist idea but I don't want to get in the way as a newb not knowing much.

You wouldn't get in the way half the players that Registered are pretty much new to running kingdoms, and with allies its really not hard for a new player to do good even without alllies, nobody is that good. So dont be afraid to play.

I'm still a maybe. I'm not completley convinced.

I wouldn't want to be in charge of a kingdom however...

Your not doing anything quite yet the Next step will be picking Starting Territories on the map for your Castle to be placed, but we are not doing that till we have 12 Kingdoms, so now you are free to check in every onece and awhile to see if we have 12 kingdoms yet. Be sure to always check your inbox since a lot of players send out alliances early on so that when you place your castles you can place them close by to be able to aid eachother.

I would bet that the Game will most likely Literally Start in 8 Days and we will probably be picking starting Territorries in like 5-6 Days, but that depends on how fast we get new players and how fast the old players show up.

Oh and lastly do not be afraid to PM other players about alliance or whatever maybe PM a hero and ask them to join you before the game starts. You dont have to wait for them to pm you.

any who so yeah lots to do lots to do
