Just shooting out an idea for a fun (not super competetive) Death Guard list:

In keeping with the Nurgley goodness, everything follows the rule of 7. 49 models, 1848 points (divisible by 7), 7 groups of 7 models (6 squads of 7 and 7 tanks). All vehicles have daemonic possession and would be covered in Nurglings and filth.

Idea here being the predators would stay back and take out enemy armor unmolested thanks to their DP, and the four rhinos would implacably advance thanks again to their DP. Upon arrival at the enemy lines, the wave of daemons come in wherever they are needed most, and we have a good old fashioned brawl.

Any thoughts would be appreciated, especially anything that could help improve the army's effectiveness without hurting the theme. One thing I would consider would be switching the predators to autolas and dropping the possession, but I do want to keep the number of tanks at 7.

Keeping in mind this is a fluffy list....
The DP on the rhinos is far to expensive, if you drop them i believe you have enough points for 7 more summoned Daemons which in my opinion would be much more worthwhile. If you move 12" and smoke on your first turn, your probably going to do just as well as having Daemonic possession, DP on AV11 just isn't worth the points...

I love what you're going for here by sticking to a theme/fluff; I'm really impressed. I too would recommend dropping DP off the rhinos however; it's a far too costly upgrade for what they provide.
With the saved 80pts you may consider making a couple of the Predators Defilers or at the very least making them Auto/Las as you thought; the latter of which is a great combination, but may be hindered somewhat by the BS3 from DP, so you may consider doing something about that too, but I don't know how fluffy you're trying to make them...
I would also recommend wings on the Sorcerer, that way he can still embark in rhinos IIRC but can also then leap out and wind or attack squads too. The amount of troops you have atm is more than enough however.

Thanks for the comments. I will definitely drop the possession on the rhinos, though I will still model them appropriately Nurgley. Another thing I was considering was 3 possessed vindicators instead of predators, the BS3 barely hurting. Wings sound great too. I'd prefer to stick with tanks just for uniformity, 4 rhinos and 3 defilers wouldn't have the same feel as 7 rhino chassis vehicles. I was also toying with replacing the sorcerer with Typhus, dropping a PM squad an grabbing 6 Nurgle Terminators and a Land Raider, although the termies couldn't ride in it due to their number. Any suggestions with all that in mind? Definitely want to keep model count at 49 as well, if possible.
