So basically what this thread will be is to help me create my future skaven army and how I will go about purchasing and creating it.

so far I have:
80clan rats of the older edition: planning on using them as slaves once I have more of the current clanrat
40clan rats of the new edition: for now I dont mind if these two are combined

40Plaguemonks: I had originally 39 cause I lost one right when I finished them but i recently found it.

2 plague furnaces/ which are modular into screaming bells

2 plague priests which i got from the furnaces but put them on bases which i could use as separate characters

3/2 packmasters which ive been using as characters

1 other character that looks like its the rat yoda with a red light saber.. so many contradictions there.

1 greyseer on its 20mm base. I've been using him also for anything else atm. but would like to attempt to have the actual characters for my characters

2 Rat ogres (for what ever they are worth) and
however many giant rats once i get the bases for them
1Hellpit A bomb
1 Doomwheel

----Any suggestions where I can go with this?----

I'm thinking that I need artillery. or more dakka but have better rare choices to choose from rather then getting rare artillery.. so I was considering Warplock jezzails gun lines? Are they worth it?
I like the range since then I can enforce anti artillery or enforce my opponent coming to me. dwindled down.

-----please leave comments anything to put me in a direction--- I dont mind going through making multiple lists if some strategy is thought into them.

For 90 points, you can get 4 Jezzails with a Sharpshooter.

-or-

For 90 points you can get a Warp Lightning Cannon.

WLC >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> (you get the idea) >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Jezzails.

I really want to like Jezzails, I do. The problem is that a 20 point shooty model with BS3 is waaaaay overpriced, no matter how good their gun is. Add to that the fact that you can (and will) kill your own models while shooting, and Jezzails just sort of fall by the wayside. As for taking out artillery, you'd be wounding on 5s and you have way better options for killing war machines. Still, small units of Jezzails are sometimes useful for sniping lone models like heros, chariots or small groups of knights. Again though, we have far better choices, like:

I heartily recommend picking up a WLC or two. They're fantastically killy and will generally be your MVP of any game. I can't stress enough how awesome they are.

Gutter runners make for excellent war machine killers if you routinely face armies with them. If not, they're still good for taking down high toughness low save models (like Giants).

Giant rats are also decent as war machine killers, I understand. They're cheap and fast, but the downside is that they don't count for core points. That said, you can also use them as a nice flanking unit since a large unit doesn't cost a bunch, but still throws out a decent number of attacks.
