I'm actually asking out of curiosity more than anything, Do the Chaos Daemons play better in Fantasy or 40K ? I don't play them, So I really don't know personally but since they are the only things that are cross compatible i figured it was worth looking into.

I've lost more in fantasy with daemons than I do in 40k. Mayhaps a comparison of individual units and how they work in fantasy vs 40k.

Most individual units work better in 40k than fantasy (plaguebearers, fiends, Greater Daemons, bloodletters, seekers, daemonettes, nurglings, Skulltaker, Kairos, Daemon Princes, etc).

A couple units are on par in both systems-like Flamers. Best unit in the game for both systems-no matter the arguments, I've done more damage with a suicide unit of 3 flamers than I have with any other daemon unit. Furies seem kinda "meh" in either game

One unit is good in fantasy and TERRIBLE in 40k-I'm looking at YOU beast of nurgle.

All in all though, I'd say 40k is better for daemons-they at least deploy in an appropriate way, rather than marching onto the battlefield like in fantasy (stupid, stupid idea)

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

I've had better success with fantasy daemons then 40k. Skulltaker is totally awesome in each. I find Fateweaver kinda under whelming in 40k but in fantasy he controls the battle.

Funny how the poll is overwhelmingly 'fantasy', but the written comment all say 40k.

In 40k, Daemon are one of the low tier army, arguably one of the worse army to be honest. This has only been made worse with the fact that the current flavor of the month - the grey knight - are designed to kill them.

I don't have much experience in fantasy to comment, but I doubt they do as poorly in 40k.. it would be very hard to do so.

I am 6-1-1 in 40k W-L-D. In fantasy I am 3-0-0. In fantasy the normal deployment makes the difference. Plus daemons of chaos in fantasy are debatably the best army in the game. Look at the tournement winners for 40k and fantasy. I guarentee you there are much more daemon players winning in fantasy than there are in 40k

It's tough to make a bad Daemon army in Fantasy (though I'm doing my best...)

On a delicate chain at her throat, she keeps it with her to this day.”

In fantasy Daemons are still a really strong army they are defiantly in the top teir but they are not as powerful as they were in the last edition where they were OP.
