Me and a few buddy's have started a new games club we have about 12 members and seem to be growing rapidly. Things we have or are going to do are...

1. Organised a committee.
2. Built 4 games boards rising as we need as well as scenery.
3. Started a league and cup.
4. Organised hobby days for painting and such.
5. Set up website and FB page as well as sent out fliers.

Does anyone have any further advise or ideas?

Kill anyone who leaves and demand each new member to make a blood sacrifice in order to join you...
Narrative campaigns are fun.

Narritive campaigns are a really good way, probably put people into teams and have more than just two factions.

I can't recomend any but IMO it's better to write your own.
You know the mix of factions you have so you cna tailor it to that.
Get some people to sign up first then split into pairs/threes/teams and then write the narrative accordig to what the teams are compaosed of...
E.g. Tau, IG and SM could be a mutual alliance whereas Tau, IG and Tau could be Human auxillaries to a Tau strike force.

If you don't mind me asking, where will your club be set up? I'm playing around with the idea of setting a club up in my city, but location is my worry, I suspect we'd have to hire somewhere and that brings in money issues. I'm curious how other clubs handle this.

Our club has many members who can let us borrow their... establishment. Currently our 'HQ' is a pub...
Not sure how others solve it...

Yeah I own a pub being a landlord most pubs would happily accommodate clubs in function rooms. Storage is normally an issue however. Great call on the campaign will let you know how it goes.

Do you have to pay anything (hall cover, insurance, etc?) Anyway, painting comps are good for the non-battling type

As others have said, a campaign is awesome fun. Either map based ones or mission based are both good.

Also a nice excuse to plan a big apocalpyse battle for the big finale of the campaign!

Waiting for my shill money from Spiral Arm Studios

For funding my club simply has a jar that we put our spare change in.

we havn't bought anything in a long time so that hasn't come up.

One good way to raise money is to have a jackpot tournament.

everyone pays a certain amount(here we usually charge $5-10) and the winner gets 1/2 the pot, the club gets the rest.

if you have one of those a month you can have quite a substantial amount of money come in.

as far as buying terrain, we hold a vote with all the members getting 1 vote. most voted scenery gets bought.

for space we meet at a Hobbytown USA's back room. its free because we buy our 40k stuff there(at 10% discount too)
