You dislike Fulgrim ? How ? I admit the start is a little boring but once you get through it, it gets very enjoyable.

I have enjoyed most of the series (And I have read them all) the only three I have a problem eith are : Battle for the abyss, Decent of angels and Falllen angels.

The best so far have been : Legion, Mechanicum, Fulgirm, A thousand sons, The first heretic and Age of Darkness is quite good aswell.

Yeah you really have to plow through Fulgrim for a bit (about page 200 is where it gets going) but once you are through that it becomes very enjoyabe and you will probably agree that is one of the best.

Agreed, Legion is amazing. Oh and to add to the dissapoinment list I will add: prospero burns. (most disapointing title ever)

I don't plan on reading battle for the fang, I dislike space wolves. The major problem I had with Prospero burns is how dissapointing it is, the cover art and title made me excpect a good description of the battle for prospero and the actual battle betwean Magnus and Russ but alas it did not deliver on it at all.

Mechanicum was alright. Galaxy in flames was poor, the rembrancers were very boring and so was the titan crew. Ban counter simply cannot write to the standards of the other black library authors (battle for the abbys springs to mind) luckily as you may have noticed the weaker authors do not write much Horus heresy stuff do we can avoid anything from Ben counter for a while.

Gav Thrope is writing Deliverance Lost, so we can only wait and see if he does somthing Dan Abnett quality or will he fail like Ben Counter ?

Fulgrim was very heavily edited though. You can't help but wonder what it was like un-edited.

The Primarchs (for the most part, Horus and Lorgar being the major exceptions) didn't "turn" on the Emperor, they gave the Daemons access to their minds and the daemons took over. It absolves the primarchs (and by extension the Emperor) of any responsibility for their fall.

That only happened to Fulgrim.

Lorgar and Horus had the choice of not trusting the Daemons but they did anyway.

Even Fulgrim had responsibility in the way that he followed Horus, the Daemon only gave him a push.

All the traitors knew what they were getting themselves into by joining Horus.

No, most thought they would kill the emporer by joining Horus. Fulgrim was the only one to get possesed
Spoiler:
but he regreted it in the end and wanted to un-do what he had done because he did not know how he would feel once he killed Ferus Manus whch proves not all the primarchs knew what following Horus would involve .

Spoiler:
Alpharius is still loyal to the Emperor, even though he's trying to kill him

Once you sell your soul to a chaos god it's kind of permanent. You can't renege on it.

And what was the Emperor's deal? I can't find anything but discussions on it.

Spoiler:
Fulgrim killed Ferrus Manus with his own free will, he only let the deamon take over AFTER he killed Ferrus because he could not live with what he had done

Spoiler:
The deamon sword helped Fulgrim when Ferrus Manus was on the floor but Fulgrim did not need the help, it says so in the book.

As above and not entirely true, by the end of the Heresy and the final battle on the Vengeful Spirit Horus was possessed by all four Gods and more than likely under their sway after Davin. Whether it's still the same case we don't know though until the series ends.

No Horus was not possesed, the Cabal says that if he wins then he will eventually be so ashamed and mad at himself that he would cause humanity to destroy itself.

Oh come on. Primarchs bred for war not knowing what betraying their father would involve. Pats on the back, colourful flowers?

Fulgrim knew that only one of them was going to walk away from that fight with Ferrus, shame it wasn't him or Ferrus

Fulgrim did not want to kill Ferrus at the end of the fight and Ferrus did not want to kill Fulgrim bur Ferrus knew that if Fulgrim let him live then he would have to kill him. Fulgrim killed Ferrus because he had no other choice at that point. Though I wonder why Horus did not realise Fulgrim would find it too dificult and not just let Angron do it.

Yes but Collected visions says Torgaddon turned to chaos, I think Collected visions is outdated beyond belife now.
