Okay, so I enjoyed the first game a bit, but the second one is really pissing me off. From what I've read, the prologue/chapter 1 is a difficult fight, but the game gets easier as it goes along. Regardless, the combat is the most annoying piece of crap I've ever dealt with. Blocking is super slow and clunky, and only against the guy you are targeting, and you have no way of controlling who is targeted short of facing them directly and hoping one of the 5 other guys don't cross in your path. So the game degenerates to me rolling like an idiot across the entire damn battlefield. What the hell kind of combat is that? Roll roll roll roll swing roll roll roll roll fail parry roll roll swing. FETH!

Which would be fine, except you have to fight off like eight billion fething waves of fething douchebags while arming that fething ballista, and if you get dropped in wave 7,999,999 you go all the way back to the beginning. FETH!

UPDATE: Now that he has been upgraded to parry from all directions, it's not quite as annoying, but there is still a lot of fething rolling around. I don't remember this much rolling in the first one. What am I, Sonic the fething Hedgehog?

CPU/GPU specs?

Otherwise you just sound annoyed for no reason, well, not the reason you want to sound annoyed by.

I'm running the game smooth as butter on max settings, that's not the issue.

Hmm I use my traps, bombs and spells to stun lock enemies then one hit kill them and then just use target lock on one guy at a time for who ever is left. But I guess you could go the all dodge/parry route as well. I've made it through the prologue on hardcore a few times now, but haven't been able to make it through the entire game on that difficulty. I need to stop doing side quests for loot and just do a hardcore speed run. But I can't help myself and so far has lead to my doom and having to restart.

I find Oblivion tedious to play ever since I got Fallout 3.

Agreed. That and the the dump jump 1000 times to make your jump the full jump, run 1000 times to make your run the full run, etc. Witcher is by far a superior setup at the moment. And the enemy scaling in Oblivion makes it counter productive to level your character where as it doesn't in Witcher. Hopefully Skyrim fixes some of these issues when it is released.

The shield spell thingie (whatever it's called) is amazing. It really makes a difference.
