Q: If a unit of multiple wound models has already
suffered a wound, must the next wound taken be
allocated to a model armed the same or can it be
allocated to a differently armed model? (p26)
A: It can be allocated to a differently armed model.
Note that this can potentially leave multiple differently
armed models wounded at the same time.

Scenario 1:
Ok say I have a 10 man nob squad. One painboy, 4 with PKs and 5 with Big choppas. That's a diversity count of 1,4,5.
If I get hit with 3 wounds, does that mean I can allocate 2 to the power klaw and 1 to a choppa or
must I allocate 1 to painboy, 1 to PK and 1 to choppa?

Scenario 2: Same squad layout except this time I get hit with 2 instant death wounds form a slanneshi chaos lord.
Do I have to allocated 1 to painboy, 1 to PK? Or can I allocate 2 to PK?
Also, say I have a vanilla squad of identical nobs all with big choppas and get hit with 2 ID wounds. Do I lose one nob (because both wounds go to him before more wounds are allocated) or do I lose 2 nobs as one ID wound each claims a nob?

Scenario 1 - you can allocate 2 to the Klaws and one to the Choppa. the even distribution requirement is across models not wound groupings.

Scenario 2
You can throw 2 onto PK's, there is no requirement to spread across wound groups.

For ID wounds you remove whole models first - it is in the ID rules and you need to remove unwounded models if possible. That means 2 nobs go down.

Allocate evenly across models, at this point the rules dont care about what the models actually are

You then group models, and any wounds attached to them, into units of like models with a pool of attached wounds, and make any saves you can. You then remove casualties from within these groups./

which, if those wounds cause instant death, you must remove whole models when possable.

Ok so for ID wounds, do I apply ID after wounds are allocated or before?
As in:
5 identical ogryns take 4 instant death wounds. Do one ogryn take 3 wounds, a second ogryn take 1 and the ogryn that took the one wound dies from ID OR
do you remove one ogryn per instant death unsaved wound thus killing 4 ogryns?

You're mixing up allocation and casualty removal.

You allocate wounds (before saves) evenly
You group models by identical stats, wargear etc and POOL the wounds attached
Take saves

NOW you remove wounds and models according to Remove Casualties, and, at this point, wounds are not assigned to any individual model - theyre part of a pool. So you chuck the first ID wound onto an Ogryn, read that it kills the ogryn (and moreover must be on an unwounded Ogryn, if possible) and remove an Ogryn. You then apply the next wound, and so on.
