Anyone else procured these yet?
If they're a sign of things to come, then Finecast is making more than sense than simply being easier to build.
Got a box of them in front of me right now, the sculpting on the musculatur alone is lovely, and you also have a definite, concave edge to the faceplate. Plus, it could just be that I've got a good moulding, but I'm not seeing much in the way of mould lines on them.
Early days of course, but I think Finecast is just going to get better over time.

Early days indeed.
Mould maintenance and replacement will also play an important role in the crispness of detail and the appearance of mould lines and flash.
I was looking over some finecast in GW today and the Lelith had something yellow stuck to her hair.
Also, one of the Chaplains with Jump pack had a huge bubble in its exhaust grill.
I will soon unpack the Succubus I bought to paint and take pics.

I think that yellow stuff is release agent. Or possibly part of the mould. Think it was my Hive Tryant has a little lump wedged in. Dug it out easily enough, and without damaging the model, and it had a distinctly rubbery quality to it.

The yellow things are parts of the silicon molds. Awesome model could also be a case of it being Dark Eldar, where both Jes is awesome, and they were made more with the resin in mind I would guess if that makes a difference. Also, looking at the blisters at the FLGS, I've only been able to spot any miscasts on a single figure. I'm waiting to see if they make an attempt to fix the seemingly over sensitivity to heat, as I would like to get myself some Wracks.

No idea if anything can be done about the heat thing. Not really an issue here in Britain (seriously, middle of June and right now, absolutely pissing it down!)
Built them up now. Due to some finickity detail, cleaning up took a while longer than expected, but was hard labourious. Parts go together very flush. Just got to base them up now, and my first 5 are good to do!
P.S. The Razorwing is a thing of beauty!

Just out of curiosity, where did you buy them? Here in the states, I was told they were direct order only, and not available through trade sales. I put an order in with direct, and got 3 blisters, but they came with no picture on the packaging.

....and lo!.....The Age of Sigmar came to an end when Saint Veetock and his hamster legions smote the false Sigmar and destroyed the bubbleverse and lead the true believers back to the Old World.

Oh cock.
Not Grotesques, Wracks. It's Wracks I've got!
Though once I get that order delivered, I'll have three Grotesques.

Oh! Wracks! Then let me ask you... What all do they come with for bitz and optional parts? Much variety in final appearance?

Right arm and heads are one piece, backpieces look to be interchangable, but haven't tried it.
Bits for the Acothyst include Whip, Hexrifle, Liquifier and the handyslap thing.
Left arms look interchangable, so should be a decent amount of variety.

Personally, I have been very impressed with the quality of the Resin based models. I do see a few flaws on most of the casts, but the detail more than makes up for it. I also appreciate that I dont have to spend and hour and a half trimming down mold lines. My only complaint is that from what I can see, the eyes of most models appear to be nothing more than deep concave holes. I am a painter who likes to paint the eyes and they seem to be missing in the resin casts. :(

I know what you mean about the eyes. For now, I'm happy to put that down the models not being specifically Finecast, and I hope to see this change with the purpose scuplted ones.

I don't know about that, I think you were misinformed. My FLGS has got Finecast stuff, not in great quantities mind you though. I'm pretty sure my FLGS got 2 or 3 of every model in the first release even the boxed sets. They're doing a reorder now because about 75% of the stuff left the rack in the first couple of days. I wants a Succubus myself.

Look again, he first talked about Grotesques which are indeed labled as mail order only.

Actually, the first occurence WAS in UK, when many of the blisters in a GW store (directly behind a window to the South) got warped. Also a hot car should suffice, and most delivery cars delivering Finecast to stores get that hot in summer.

Oh man, I didn't need to hear about this heat thing. I live in Mississippi and game mostly in Tennessee. Now I'm going to have to get a cooler and ice before I cruise down to the gaming store.

Ok, I just opened my box of wracks and WOW - they are stunning. I just inspected them, and although my eyes aren't as good as they used to be, I literally could not detect any bubbles or miscasts. These have beautiful detail and appear to be in perfect condition. Score 1 for Finecast in my book.
