okay, I dont own the apocalypse rulebook and I dont know much about it, but I know that its much bigger games with like 5-10k points on each side, and you can field "titan" like models (titans,stompas...ect) and i was wondering if the chaos daemons got a really big unit to use in apocalypse or not...just wondering

They came out after that book was relesed so no but in the reloaded version they give you some formations but no actual apocalptic unit

Have a look at Imperial Armour Apocalypse, has lots of daemon formations AND you can also see the mega Greater daemons, like Angrath at 888 points....

Yeah, there are giant greater daemons for all 4 ruinous powers. I don't know if there are rules for all of them, or just for the giant bloodthirster though.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

There are rules for all of them.

An'ggrath was also in Imperial Armour Update 2004, along with the Spined Chaos Beast and Giant Spawn... He's a monster.

We get a Daemon Primarch who hangs out with 2-12 bloodthirsters. Go team Chaos.

However IA Update 2004 lists rules that dont work any longer - if you want updated rules then you use the list I provided

There is also Angron the Deamon Primarch.

Deamons, and CSMs, also have the Brass Scorpion Super Heavy. its a giant mechanical scorpion that has a higher chance of exploding when it dies then normal and its deadly in CC and shooting.

most deamon stuff is in the form of formations of greater deamons though.

the CSMs get most of the really big stuff.

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.

The Daemon Lords are brutal, but cost an insane amount of points. The most cost efficient Daemon Lord is probably the Slaanesh one (only 666 points, but just as deadly as the 999 point Tzeentch daemon).

Also don't forget you can take Daemon Engines (as per IA7) such as the Brass Scorpion and Blood-Slaughterer!

The only outdated rule I'm seeing in An'ggrath's entry is the reference to shooting at Independant Characters... which isn't going to be a problem, since it just says that you can shoot at him.

It doesnt allow you to take him in a Daemons army however - from memory, thats why they added the PDF to the site (prior to IA7)

Also dont forget the GREATER brass scorpion, aka how sexy can a model be?

IAU'04 doesn't specify a codex at all. The Chaos units are just listed as 'Chaos'... And if you're playing Apocalypse, it doesn't matter anyway, since you can take units from whatever codex you want.

The 'Possession' rule would give you some issues in a pure Codex: Daemons army, though.

Ah that was the one - didnt they have to arrive via a champion / etc?

The updated rules gives them the Daemon rule for codex: daemons, meaning they go in reserves, are part of the 3+ dice rolll, etc.
