Me vs BigMek Gitstompa in a kill points blood bath

CSM List:
(1) Chaos Lord w/ termi armor, dual lightning Claws, Mark of Khorne, and melta bombs
(7) Squad Skrall marines w/ Aspiring Champion(Power fist), and 1 flamer
(6) Squad Loken marines w/ Aspiring Champion(Power Fist), and 1 melta
(10) Khorne Berzerkers w/ Skull Champion(power weapon and melta bombs)
(4) terminators w/ 2 power fists, 2 dual lightning claws, and 1 heavy flamer
Total: 1000

Ork List
(1)Big Mek w/ kff [rolling with the right most mob]
(1) Big Mek w/kff [in battlewagon with burnas]
(30) Boyz w/ nob(power klaw)
(30) Boyz w/ nob(power klaw)
(15) [in battlewagon and one mek] Burnas
(1) Battle Wagon
(2) Killa kanz w/ Kustom mega blastas

Right so, we did this after he sought advice from dakkadakka and he wanted to put what he learned to the test, soooooo here we go.

He won the roll off and gave me first turn.
Here's where we are at deployment:

yeah...thats alot of boyz and not so many marines. But it's all good cause I know khorne has my back in the form of his most holy dacapitators the zerkers rockin the white and red, and my thrice damned terminators. and... the vindicator with the big gun

Turn 1 Marines:
Squad Loken, the berzerkers and the terminators all move 6 in. towards the green tide while the vindicator opens up on the right most ork mob. The shot scatters and ends up covering a kan, 7 boyz and his mek. Thanks to the kff only 3 boyz die, and I get all ones throughout on the kan. Squad Skrall shoots at the same mob and puts down 2.
Ork Turn 1
The Battle wagon driver just straight up guns it and rams squad Loken(to no avail) The rest of the tide follows in a more shall we say discreet fashion? The Kustom mega Blasta kans open up on the vindicator w/ 1 hitting and getting a one on the dmg chart off a glancing hit. The grot zooka kanz shoot at squad loken w/ all scattering away. The fourth shot though...it scattered back hit the kan and ends up casusing it to explode, killing one boy w/ it... The Big shoota kanz then shoot at squad skrall with 4 hits and 4 wounds, all stopped by power armor.


Turn 2 Marines:
The terminators and the berzerkers move towards their designated mobs, while squad Loken shuffles a bit to see the side armor for the battlewagon. Squad Lokens melta then fails to hurt the tank, while the vindicator wrcks both kustom mega blasta kanz with a direct hit. Meanwhile the terminators heavy flamer the closest boyz mob and kill 4. Then the carnage begins. The terminators w/ the lord attached kill 15 boyz on their charge and lose 0...they then proceed to sweep and consolidate. The berzerkers to more of the same killing 20 on their charge but they lose 5 in return. They end up sweeping and consolidate 6 in. towards his table edge to avoid the burnas...well burnas.

Turn 2 Orks:
He breaks the mek off from the burnas and moves him in an upper right ward direction. His burnas mozy 6 in. toward Loken and his lads, while his surviving grotzooka kan clunks towards my berzerkers. Oh and his Big shoota kanz have a brain pulse and back pedal away from my terminators before opening up on them. He gets 4 hits, 4 wounds aaaaan his face goes from this to this as they are all stopped by the terminator armor. His grotzooka kan manages to put a berzerker down with one of those wayward wrenches it fires. It's then time for some roast marines as he absolutley toasts squad Loken with his burnas before charging in and wiping out Loken himself...(he always meets with a bad fate, every game without fail. Last time he got raped by my sisters keeper of secrets. must be the name.) His grotzooka kan then charges my berzerkers only to get wrecked by krak grenades. I thank him for the extra movement and consolidate 6 in. towards his oh so lonely mek.


-At this point he's just a tad worried about the momentum he has in this game.-

Marine turn 3:
My berzerkers continue their rampage and move in on his surviving mek, while my vindi rotates to give the burnas his undivided love and attention. He ends up wasting 5 of the 6 he hit. My terminators continue the strategy of going for the jugular by charging his big shoota kanz. One gets wrecked by the lords melta bombs before the other swings back at the lord and hits... and wounds! My opponent waits with baited breath for me to fail my invulnerability throw. I get a He does this while I .with that my power fist terminators punch the kan to death for thinking it could scratch their masters paint and live. The berzerkers finally get their charge and just do horrible horrible things to the mek and consolidate into the crater just cause.

Ork Turn 3:
he contempates his many many many options for a minute before moving his burnas towards my berzerkers and toasting 2. he only used 3 burnas so he has the rest for power weapons on the charge which results in one dead ork and 2 dead berzerkers. I've never seen any one so happy over dead toy soldiers. They consolidate 3 in. further into the crater.


Marine Turn 4:
Well, it's just a matter of tidying up now. Squad Skrall move towards his burnas while the terminators haul ass over to where the violence is at. Squad Skrall flames 2 to death, and bolters another one. The vindi then wounds 2 only to have his fun ruined by cover.
Ork Turn 4:
His burnas stay put and roast 4 marines.


Marine Turn 5:
My terminatos close in for the kill . They heavy flamer and kill 1 burna, and proceed to curb stomp them into the dust. The wipe them on the charge with no return casualties.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNND THATS THE GAME!
Marines: 8
Orks: 2

CSM victory.

I posted this at my opponents request because he would like to know what went wrong. He will most likely be jacking this thread upon posting to gain advice and tips (he was too lazy to do the work for the bat rep...muckin about...louzy git.)

First thing I see wrong is the table size it gave the chaos player an advantage especially as he went first. the vindiators bigest weakness wasnt a factor on that table becuase it was short so the things range covered most of the table. Id suggest either get a bigger table or cut the range movement all that in half so its more like playing on the average size table.

As for play style wize the ramming fearless guys bad move as it wouldnt do anything good and it could have ended with a death or glory from the meltagun or powefist killing it the ork list had a huge disadvantage as not much could pop that vindicator and it could kill tons of boys a turn id suggest dropping the burna wagon for some lottas or koptas as if they where placed right they could get side shots to take it out then you could play more cuasious to try and get the charge orks are all about getting the charge on that table it might have been worth it to run the boys see how far you got and if you think youd get the assult waagh and go for it youll get the plus 1 str and attack and he wouldnt even though he would still go first it couldhave changed the game a bit.

The orks have the option to become fleet for a single turn. Because of this the CSM player should never ever get the charge on Footslogging orks.

Why did he not call his Waagh, move into assault range and go?

dunno why he didn't call the waagh! he's been making a habit of that lately, and yeah the table is pretty small, I'm working up the desire to go to the store to get another one to make it more of a I guess the right way to put it would be taller? not this way ------------------ as its decently long I think but llllll that way to try to make possibility of him being in range from turn one smaller

lolzs, this was an amusing battle report. And yes, the tabel size is wrong, and as other have said, why no Waaaggghhh? Me thinks bad planninf on the ork players part. And gratzs on the win
