Hi everyone.
Coming up at the end of next month I have a tournament coming up. It is rather small only 4 1000pt games over 1 day. Im not sure how the Point distribution as of yet.
Now normaly i run orks but in this tournament there are some crazy rules senanigans its more or less pointless. heres the rules:

"4 games, 1000pts like last year.

For something "different", any unit may be taken once. This means only one of each dedicated transport, one of each unit choice.
the exemptions are:
Anything which has multiple "units" take up a single slot (tomb spyders, BA priests, Imperial Guard platoons) may take one slot worth.
Black Templar and Necron who only have one troops slot, may have two to cover min FOC.

Special Characters will be allowed
No Forge World (everything is banned, don't ask)
One normal FOC

Missions will objectives, kill points, a rehashed 4th ed mission and something for the lols. If you have played at other tournaments I have ran they will be "improved" versions of previously used missions."

So theres the rules and heres my atempt at a list.

Necron 1000pt list

HQ:
Necron lord 160pt

Troop:
Warriors 180pt
10warriors

Warriors 180pt
10warriors

Elite:
Immortals 168pt
7 immortals

Fast:
Scarab Swarms 36pt
4 Swarm Bases

Don't take a monolith at less then 1500 points, It is far to many points. Also, drop the immortals. Try this list out.
HQ
Destroyer lord, phase shifter, chronometron, warscythe

TROOPS
10 warriors
10 warriors

FAST ATTACK
4 Destroyers
4 Destroyers
5 scarabs.

woodbok, i was actually going to say the opposite. I think thats a very solid list, the only thing i would personally do is drop the Tomb Spyder for a couple more Scarabs and Dis.Fields. But your list would work as well.

His rules prohibit him from taking two of the same unit type. As Necrons only seem to work well when you spam one unit or another (so I've read over and over at any rate), I would recommed using a different army. especially one with decent troops to choose from... Sorry, I know its not really a great help, but it's the best i can think of. you are wasting 1/3 of your points on overpriced troops

The ilst with the destroyers if far more better.If you are looking for competitive.Lord with destroyer body though. I am a player that still wins tournaments with necrons this edition.Of you are looking 4 fun..go ahead do what you think is best

I'd probly drop the mono/scarabs and possibly TS for 5x destroyers, a res orb and + immortals.

Otherwise maybe just drop the mono for more scarabs, + immortals and another ts or something. I think the mono takes way too many points at 1k.. and with your lord and scarabs set up the way they are, I think its going to hold you back.

I love how the OP specifically gave out limitations for the list and almost all of you completely ignored them. Jeez, you guys didnt help at all.

As is, I like the list other than scarabs, 3 bases really isnt enough to get a job done. That and im not sure how much I like tomb spyders. Put a resorb on the lord and fill out the immortals, maybe replace the destroyer lord for a footlord with veil

Hey guys thanks for comments. have updated list, dropped ts as changed lord of vod added another immortal and scarab swarm.
as said by others i cant take 2 of the same type of unit as it is against ther rules. I really dont think destroyers will do too well in this tournment as the squad will only have 5 wounds which is not enough in my mind to ensure wbb. also they are a large target. that is why i chose to run immortals instead. also, i know one of the key advantages of running destroyers iss killing light tanks. becaude you can only run one rhino, trukk ect. i didnt think this would be much of a benifit here.
as for running a different army my only other option is orks... 1 squad of boys in a whole army... i dont think so.
the next army im keen on getting is salamander, i though about rushing to get them by the tournament but i realy dont whant to have to ruch them, so im kind of stuck with necrons for this tournament.
the scarabs are only there to hold up or wall units or to late game contest so i dont think there is much point in investing lots of point on them.
i realy would like to keep the monolith because o feel this tournament will be dominated by deepstriking and will also have alot of footslogging units and a nice pie plate should help with that.
the word "deceiver" did cross my mind but i know how much thats asking to be phased out.
