I wouldn't worry about something you have no control over. If your playing in a tourney, your list has to be a all-commers list, not just good against Eldar. Focus on your list.

Besides, Eldar codex is still pretty good, and it is old. He could run several different lists and be effective.

Been playing 40k on and off since 89.
Armies...
Orks, Eldar, Lamentors, Pre-Heresy EC, CSM EC, and IG.

Well, depends on what models you have.
I'd go for a mech Eldar list. The lists of Flavius Infernus at the board of battle reports are quite good.

I think he meant he's going to be playing an Eldar player who plays a lot of tournaments and wants to know what kind of Eldar lists pop up at tournys.

Make sure you have units that can kill wave serpents. These will then also be good against other mech/transport so still flexible in a tourney.

If the serpents go down then a mech eldar can't do anything. If footdar then expect wraithlords, walkers, avatar and anything that can shoot up a serpent spam should be able to handle these as well.

Seer council? They are tough to kill, but not that dangerous in CC. Anti-psyker for the farseer and then try to get them in CC with a fast moving squad of your own and/or just make them roll lots of saves. As say an IG, hydras are the perfect anti-eldar across the board. Without knowing who you play it is difficult to be specific.
