After a couple games going against Gorten I decided to read up on him. I really like what he brings as I have discovered I dislike casters who have to stay way in the back. I also love the models involved in the list.

Now I have seen a list close to this twice and many may not like two Bashers on Gorten, but they are so focus efficient and a blast in a casual environment:

wow.

this list needs some work. first off the highshields should not be marshalling anything unless its needed. their jack marshall focus doesnt work with the gunner's powerful shot, since it isnt actually focus. Gorten loves drillers, thor loves the basher, so switch the drillers onto gorton and the bashers onto thor.

are you planning on sticking with searforge? the dwarf casters are usually better in 4star and highborn contracts.

Would this be better? I would rather stick with Searforge:

i tend to avoid thor marshalling 2 jacks becuase that gives your opponent more incentive to kill him early and watch his 2 jacks lose alot of power.

i was never a fan of highshields, but i love guns and they are what you have in a searforge list. the forgeguard are rock hard hammer. the BG is pretty basic, and the blaster on thor can help clear our infantry while heavy targets soak CRA's from the high shields, hammers from the forge guard and the drillers.

not very much experienced with the Dwarf Mercs. but, there is a guy that runs a Gorten army. he essentially added to the box set to make a 35 pt army. i think he uses that Merc solo that makes skeletons lol. don't know the rest he hasn't played in a while. hopefully he'll be there tomorrow.

thats alexia and her risen. they are a solid merc unit but the OP has stated he wants to stay with searforge, which restricts him from most of the cool stuff in mercs.
