As far as I'm aware, a Chaos Warband of Traitor Marines is the equivalent of a Space Marine company. What then would be the Chaos equivalent of the Chapter itself? Or do Heresy-turned Chaos Marines organise themselves into Warbands only, and don't amass into Chapter-sized forces unless allying? And following on from that, if a Chaos Lord leads a company-sized warband, what would be the title of someone who leads the chapter-equivalent, if it exists?

They don't have much of an organisation...
Warbands can be any size from 20 marines to 10,000...
Most of the legions are split but a few of them remain together so they have some kind of organisation.

A warband varies in size and composition, they can be thousands strong, made up of only Khorne Berzerkers or just composed of a few marines and a lot of cultists. There is no standard structure for most of them. Word Bearers however are lead by a Dark Apostle, who has a single Apprentice and a War-Captain who enforces the Apostles will.

...urrrr... I dunno

Warbands, as mentioned above, pretty much structure themselves how they like. There's no direct equivalent, then, to a sm company or chapter, as warbands vary in size massively. The Chaos legions, though once unified fighting forces, are pretty much scattered and shattered by this stage; only a few of them retain their command structure, and even then there's a butt-tonne of infighting and the like.
