Have been wanting to make a move from blood angels to another chapter for a little while now, and had decided between imp fists or white scars, then the thought of running Lysander with a 5 hammer squad sealed the deal for me.
I always avoided yellow and white in the past as much as i could but if i wanted IF i had to take the plunge and break open the (OH NOES) yellow's.
Well i just got finished with my first hammernator and decided to share a few pics of my first adventures with yellow.
let me know what you think guys

thx

tao

I don't know what you were scared about using yellows for, that is an excellent model

Well, I think it is totally great.
If you really want critics - parts above the helmet are too bright and clean comparing to whole armor.
What exactly yellow did you use?

Yeah, it looks really good. How did you paint it? I've been having trouble with mine at the moment.

TseGuevara,
i agree, he needs the weathering to match all over, can see this more obvious in these photos than in my hand, defs something to work on, as far as yellows go, vomit brown, lyander darksun, golden and sunburst yellow

Lokirfellheart,
i got a few good ideas while watching some vids on youtube regarding yellows and imperial fists. i will go find them and send you a link XD

thanks for the nice comments guys

Yellow is hard to paint. (I have Space Marine shaped indentations in my drywall as evidence to that fact.) This is a very good job with it. I did notice some patches that didn't match, but I chalked it up to darker coats underneath showing through. Particularly on the model's left shoulderpad, his right upper knee, and the tail plate. If it's weathering, its fine, I just wasn't sure.

Incidentally, in addition to your great job at the main color, your attention to detail is amazing.
