Hi all. I've been lurking around Dakka for the last day or so and decided I might as well make an account. I currently don't play any games, yet, but would love to get into Warhammer. I've known about Warhammer Fantasy and 40k for several years, but never got into either of them due to my social anxiety and plain shyness ( and being embarassed at being a geek/nerd ). But lately I've embraced my inner geek and want to give Warhammer another/real shot!
However I have no idea where to begin. I live in San Diego and have searched for shops near by and neither of them sound too pleasant to visit ( Game Empire and Game Towne, for those in SD and wondering ). I have a car and can drive, though I'm not good with directions or street names lol 
Any and all help is appreciated!
