Hi all!

I originally played Necromunda in 1996 when I was in Japan and bought the original box set, lead-based Goliaths, and a full set of Cawdor and Van Saar (traded my Redemptionist box set for the Cawdor and Van Saar). When my best friend moved away later that year, I pretty much put all my Necromunda stuff in storage... and now 15 years later, and I've decided to start playing again! I got my friend into being my playing partner (was unsuccessful in convincing the girlfriend to play), and we've been just playing it once or twice a month for the past few months. Since he was brand new and I was really rusty, we simplified the rules and have slowly incorporated all the proper rules into our game play each time.

I've always regretted trading my Redemptionist gang away (but after all, I did get back 3x the amount of figures), so this past weekend I picked up a small set of very nicely painted Redemptionists from my local store. I then bid (and won) several more figures on ebay to complement my soon to be growing collections. Back in '96, I was still in high school and didn't much money to spend on it. Now I'm a full-time programmer and will probably to stir-crazy buying anything and everything Necromunda! At least for the next few weeks, you can find me on the trade forums!

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

Welcome! I just got me some of the old OOP redemptionists in a trade and I love them, some of the best models GW has made IMHO.

Awesome! I picked up another lot of Redemptionists, including the Arch Zealot, which gives me almost a complete set, and can't wait to get them painted and play them!

Never had a chance to play the Ratskins in my first time around, but I picked up a complete set and have the rules downloaded for them. Can't wait to give them a shot!
