Hello, I am new to Dakka Dakka, and just got back into Warhammer after leaving when third edition came and destroyed alot of my space marine army.

I have aquired multiple armies through friends or just by repurchasing them...My question is making a good ork army with what I have...I have ready pretty much every army list for orks and will not be willing to destroy anything that is already created to reduce costs or make it competitive. I will be playing with friends and my child, so fun is our goal.

I have...drum roll please...lol

You been playing at all? I don't know about waaaaay back in 2nd edition, but Orks in 5th really don't have any set game plan or army list. There's plenty of common lists, (or rather, list types- Orks aren't big on conformity) such as Kan Wall, Battlewagon Bash, Green Tide, Bikerspam, Nob Bikers, Trukkboyz, etc, but those aren't in any way the 'only' way to run Orks, successfully or not.

Kingkracker runs a Battlewagon/Trukk hybrid, chock full of Rokkit spam, I know, and he does alright with it.

I know a guy at my FLGS that runs a sort of mini Battlewagon Deathstar bash (like Nob Bikers, but using Battlewagons full of the Nobz instead of putting them on bikes)

I run a really, really wierd list with Walkers galore, Gunwagons, a Close Combat Wagon, and recently Tankbustas and Flash Gitz, which most people will say are complete rubbish (they're kinda right, but they're fun rubbish! And actually really nice for psyching your opponent out)

Play a few games, use as many legal combinations as you can think of with those units, then figure out how you want to run them. But mostly, find out what's fun for you.

GENERATION 8: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.

If yer an Ork, why dont ya WAAAGH!!
