Greetings, I am Ciaran.

I've been playing 40k for a few years now, mostly with friends, though less often since I moved from Memphis to Milwaukee. I started with Dark Angels, and have recently begun collecting Tyranids. I have 2k+ or so of Dark Angels, though not all of them are fully painted. My Dark Angels have been put on hold while I collect and paint enough of my 'nids to be able to field them, as I'm probably sitting around 1k of bugs if you count everything. Unfortunately, I started 'nids by getting a large collection of stuff from a friend for cheap, which includes a good deal of models I wouldn't normally use in a list, so the largest list size I would put together with them is probably in the 750 range. I also have one of the large box sets of High Elves, but I doubt I'll pursue that army anytime soon.

I've recently begun experimenting with conversions beyond kit-bashing and magnetizing. I recently finished a Tyranid Prime which was part kit-bash part-sculpt (the lash whip and bone sword were made with green stuff), and I've begun a massive Tervigon conversion using the Arachnarok model as the base. I will also, from time to time, deviate from Games Workshop models to paint up a fantasy miniature from Reaper or Dark Sword, just because I like their models. I am constantly trying to hone my painting skill, even when I'm painting something like a hormagaunt, which as you can imagine means I'll be spending a long time on my 'nids army. It also means certain models in my Dark Angel army will be getting the paint-thinner bath to be repainted. (Or re-purchased, if GW comes out with Sammael in Finecast.)

Well, thanks for hearing me out! See y'all on the forums.

Thanks for the welcome!

I'll need to build a white-box before I start taking any post-worth pictures; currently all I have are pictures of the models on my rather messy workspace.
