Anyone know what happened to dicebucket.com?
They were up as of the day before yesterday. They had really good prices on sprues out of the battleforce boxes and for a while they had free shipping.
Am I being paranoid or do I smell a D & C?

Glad I just received my last order from them. I do find it odd that dicebucket currently has a link to GW's website.

Yeah, smells like GW pulled them. They announced international shipping earlier in the month ( http://blog.dicebucket.com/) and now the message on their website saying they're on "hiatus". Or it could mean nothing other than usual business troubles.
This could mean that they're looking at getting a distributor and will be back or gone for good.

One of two things probably:
1) GW found out who they were and made them pull the shopping cart. Guys like Neil at the Warstore and Miniature Market obey GW's rules, and GW has to look for the guys that don't, and enforce the 'no shopping carts' rule. Without a shopping cart, running a business under their plan becomes much tougher.
2) They weren't making a profit and couldn't pay their supplyer.

GW can't force people to drop shopping carts if they don't buy direct from them so my guess it's the second reason.

They're back online as of today. Glad to see it.
Their shipping policy has changed, but it sound like for the better. Having shipped a few things recently, shipping costs are getting crazy.

Where did you see that? I went to dicebucket.com and still saw the same message and there's nothing new on their blog.
Oops, had to refresh my cache....

Not US sites that get supplied directly from GW sadly.

I thought it was illegal to ship internationally? How are they doing that? It says on their website they can ship to all the problem countries now.

no its legal, as long as the company isn't based in the EU, they can do it.
Dicebucket appears to buy from a wholesale retailer like Alliance, and then sells the product, its a little less of a profit margin then buying direct from GW, but gives access to a shopping cart. Also explains the lack of GW direct items.
